"First years! First years follow me to the Gryffindor common room." Says the head boy. We follow him out of the Great Hall and to the moving staircases. Grantbus had told me about them. They like to move whenever so you have to be careful as not to get off on the wrong floor. We head to the eighth floor on a landing. A portrait of a fat lady in a pink silk dress sits on the wall. "Password?" She asks. The head boy gives the password, Pig Snout, and we all file in.

Nice and cozy is a word to describe the common room. There's a fireplace, sofas and comfy chairs, and different paintings. The people in the paintings all wave at us. I wave back. There's a staircase near the back. "Boys on the left, girls on the right." Says the head boy pointing at the staircase. "See you later then?" I turn to Rookwood. "Yeah see you later." He says and we start climbing the staircase. We split up him going to the boy's dormitories and me going to the girls.

As I enter the first thing I notice is that the room is circular. Are we really in one of the towers? There are five poster beds lined up against the room all facing inward towards what I assume to be a heater. I find my bed with my trunk and Midnight's cage next to it. I start to unpack my things. I hang up my Quidditch and Weird Sisters posters up around my bed.

"Hello, Autumn."

I look around to find the owner of the voice. I see Lily by the bed next to mine.

"Hey, Lily."

"I'm so excited. I can't believe I'm here!"

"I know right."

"Are those your Quidditch posters?"

"Yeah, they are. My team's Ireland. The Irish."

"Cool."

"Yeah." I turn hanging up my last poster adjusting it just right. I look at my area and do a few more touches here and there to make it feel more like home. Then I head down to the common room before I go back to bed. I see Rookwood sitting on one of the sofas so I sit next to him.We just sit in silence enjoying each other's company. I finally feel tired after everything that's happened tonight so I decide to hit the hay. As I get up he gets up with me. We walk upstairs together and before we separate for the night-I can tell you that we'll be like glue tomorrow- we give each other a hug then he ruffles my hair and we say goodnight to each other.

I go into my dorm and I decide Midnight can go hunting tonight so I let her out and she flies silently and blends in with the darkness of the night. I turn to look around after I can't see Midnight anymore. I might as well meet the other girls I'll be in a room with for the year and many more years to come. I walk to the bed on the other side of me. I think her name is Andromeda.

"Hello, Andromeda is it?" I ask.

"Yeah. And your Autumndamort?"

"Yep, that's me. But you can call me Autumn."

"Ok. It's really nice to meet you."

"Same to you." I give her a smile then walk to the bed next to hers. I'm pretty sure that the next girl's name is Merope.

"Hello. Your Merope right?"

"Yes, that's me. And you must be Autumndamort?"

"Yeah. But please, you can call me Autumn."

"Ok, Autumn."

I head over to the last girl who I think her name is Alicia. I walk up to her as she's hanging up a beauty poster.

"Hello. My names Autumndamort but you can call me Autumn."

"Oh yes, I remember you from the sorting. My name's Alicia." We both shake hands. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I hope we will be able to get to know each other better and become good friends." She goes on.

"Yeah. I hope so too." I walk back over to my bed and sit down watching the other girls. I think we could all get along pretty well. Then before I knew it I was falling into the world of dreamland.
