When I Saw Hogwarts

Chapter 15

The year flows by so fast and it's the second to last week of school. Sirius and I have grown in our relationship and we have new friends in our gang. Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew. They are both nice and cool. Remus and I did our studies together. He's very smart and has been nice and helping me in classes that I struggle with. In classes that we both excel at we study together for tests, we might have.

Peter is a quiet person and seems to look up to James, Sirius, Remus, and Rookwood. I would describe him as a baby at times but I always do my best and be nice to him. Plus we all have nicknames. James is prongs. Sirius is Padfoot. Remus is moony. Peter is Wormtail. Rookwood is Hound. Lily is Dongs. I'm Thea.

We all go outside and sit near the banks of the lake and watch the Giant Squid thrash around in the water. Lily and I sit a little bit away from the boys and work on a project for muggle studies. Muggles have always fascinated me. As I used to be best friends with one. Tom. I wonder what he's doing right now. Does he miss me? I miss him but not in the way I used to. I have a boyfriend now. I know that Tom likes me. He told me that himself. But things just weren't meant to be between us. Friends were all we could be.

I'm really excited this summer. Everyone will be coming back to Rookwood and my house this summer. We all wanted to spend the summer together but we couldn't decide who's house to stay at. We decided on ours because of my cooking. It ruled out everyone's houses all at once.

They all want to see their parents of course. They'll come to our house for a day or two to visit their kids. Then they'll leave and we'll all be together for the rest of the summer. I'll be doing a lot of cooking and baking. I've already sent an owl to mum telling her she needs to buy lots of ingredients because everyone's expecting my cooking. She had sent an owl back saying that she would do that right away.

I smile. I take my shoes off and roll my pant legs up a few inches and then go and stand in the water. Lily joins me.

"Our project is now finished." She says.

"That's good. No more homework until next year. This summer is going to be awesome."

"I can't wait! You have to teach me some cooking skills because I have zero skills in that compartment."

"We'll see. Some things have some secret stuff in them that I'm not planning on sharing with anyone yet."

"That's ok. I just want to know some of the basics."

"I can do that."

"Thanks so much."

"No problem." All of a sudden I feel strong arms around me and I look up to see Sirius looking down at me. I smile and I turn around and hug him back. I hear Lily quietly leaving us and heading back to shore. Then I hear a snap from her camera as she takes a picture of us standing in the lake hugging each other. I smile and bury my face into his shirt hiding from the world.
