"Hoot. Hoot."

"What time is it?" I say groggily as I sit up in bed. I see Lily who is sitting in bed reading a book. She looks up and says, "It's almost noon. You were still asleep so I didn't want to wake you. By the way, a certain somebody came by to see if you were up." She gives me a smirk and goes back to her book.

"That was stupid of me to do that wasn't?" I ask pulling my hand down my face.

"It depends on how you look at it. In his point of view it makes him feel a bit awkward towards you but at the same time exploding with joy because you like him back. In my point of view, it's so sweet that you've both admitted that you like each other. You might think that you shouldn't have done it because he won't want to talk with you anymore or your parents might be mad." Lily says.

"You sure put that into words," I say my eyes wide.

"I guess you could say that. I was only trying to state the obvious."

"You did that's for sure. I'm going to go get something to eat. You want to come?"

"No, I'm good."

"Ok then. See you in a bit." I go downstairs to the kitchen and get out stuff to make pancakes. I don't care if it's almost noon because nothing stands between me and my pancakes. As I'm moving around the kitchen I don't hear footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Ahem..." I turn around to find the source of the sound. Sirius is standing there looking at the ground, the ceiling, the window. Anywhere but me. I decide to make this as friendly as I could and have no awkwardness between us. I really don't want to lose him. I take a deep breath.

"Hey! Sorry I slept late. Midnight didn't wake me up as she normally does. I'm making pancakes at noon so don't judge me. Nothing comes between me and my pancakes." We both laugh.

"No, I'm not judging. I just wanted to tell you I'm sorry about last night."

"No don't be. We were only stating the truth."

"So you weren't lying?"

"Nope. Totally one hundred percent true."

"Okay. So does this mean we're on good terms?"

"Yes. We're on good terms. You have nothing to worry about."

"Ok good."

All of a sudden James runs down the stairs. "We still haven't had our Quidditch game yet Autumn. You've been asleep all morning."

"I know. I know. Let me finish up my pancakes and we can have a game."

"Just hurry up."

"I will." I turn to Sirius. "Do you want pancakes? Or have you eaten already?"

"I've eaten already but I'll have some pancakes."

"Alright. How many?"

"Just one."

"Ok, two pancakes coming right up."
