When I Saw Hogwarts

Chapter 17

Today is the day we go home for the summer. I'm really excited but at the same time, I'm sad. I've grown onto Professor Flitwick and I hate to leave him. Plus I just love Hogwarts. What with its secret passageways and moving staircases. I'm going to miss it this summer.

I pack up all of my stuff and help Lily pack the rest of hers. Then I put Midnight in her cage. She eats the dead mouse she brought back with her early this morning. We go to the boy's dormitories and help them pack up the rest of their stuff. Once everyone's stuff is packed we go downstairs pulling our heavy trunks behind us.

We walk in silence. Everyone's still sleepy. Sirius wraps his arm around me as we walk. I lean into him. We board the train and go to an empty compartment before they all get filled up. When we sit down we all fall asleep.

At noon the lady with the cart comes by and we all jolt awake. We race outside and buy all of our favorite treats. We go back inside the compartment and dump it all onto an empty seat. Then we share all of it. I grab some Chocolate Frogs because their my favorite.

"Autumn, I dare you to have five Every Flavor Jelly Beans." Sirius says grinning like a madman. I can't pass this down."Alright. I'll do it. If I eat five you have to eat six."

"Deal." He says and we shake on it. I pick out five random jelly beans and put the first one in my mouth. My face goes sour.

"Sour apple." I say. Everyone says, "One."

I take the next one and put it in my mouth. Ewwwww...

"Dog poop."

"Two." I put the next one in my mouth.

"Ear wax!"

"Three." I grab the next one and pop it in my mouth.

"Coffe."

"Four." I take the next one.

"Boogers."

"Five." I raise my hands into the air in victory. Then I look at Sirius.

"Your turn." I say smirking. He can't beat me. He can't even stand half a jelly bean!

Sirius takes six jelly beans in his hand. He throws the first one in his mouth. His face scrunches up and I almost laugh. I wonder what flavor it is.

"Vomit." He says. He gags for a few moments before putting the second one in his mouth. I have to admit I do kind of feel bad for him for getting that flavor but hey, I got dog poop. That's not much better. He chews and says, "Banana." That's not bad. He tosses the third one in his mouth.

"Soap." I laugh at one.

"Three." He puts the fourth one in his mouth.

"Rotten eggs."

"Four." He puts the fifth in his mouth.

"Grass."

"Five." He puts the last and final jelly bean in his mouth.

"Black pepper."

"Six."

"You actually did it Sirius." I say and I give him a hug. "You've always been tough."

"Why thank you, my dear."

"Oh stop it." I giggle.

Too soon we're pulling into platform nine and three-quarters. We look out the window to see dad and mum waving. We wave back. This is going to be a fantastic summer.
