[shameful]

as she inhaled the hazardous smoke of the cigarette, she smiled. for the first time in a long time, she felt genuinely happy. well, as happy as she could be. you could say that she felt at peace.

she knew what she was doing was oh so wrong. but frankly, she couldn't bring herself to give a fuck. it was all a game anyway. either way, you end up six feet under.some just go quicker than others.

"why do you keep on doing this?" a voice asked from in front of her.

as she remained silent, she looked over the boy that had just spoken to her.

"why don't you talk?" he asked once more, his voice curious.

"fine. don't talk. i'm samuel. sam for short." he said extending his arm out to shake.

she raised her eyebrow questioningly before hesitantly shaking his hand.

"will you ever talk?" he asked, his voice as curious as he was before.

she shook her head no. no one could get her to talk. certainly not this boy. not ever.

"guess this will do then... especially for a pretty girl like you." he said, with a cheesy wink to match.

she raised her eyebrow at him tauntingly, as if she was amused by his actions. slightly giggling, he cracked a smile. he knew he had entertained her. and my, her angelic laugh was worth it.

"sorry.. it's just that.. you're really pretty. and don't take this in a wrong way, but i just don't know why people don't talk to you.. but other than that, i wanna get to know you.." he said, laughing softly, his eyes glinting in the sunlight.

he truly was amazed by this beauty. she was different. he could feel it. her eyes held a softness that no one could, her smile genuine once you tried hard enough, her clothing, showing you that she didn't dress to impress anyone but herself. but my oh my, her eyes, they held a glint in them. almost as if agony was what she felt everyday. and he wanted to know why.
