The Johnson's, were a surprisingly happy family in the quiet town of Riverdale. The reason for residents of the town to have raised eyebrows was because they were very good friends with The Blossoms, perhaps it was because Katherine Johnson was best friends with Penelope Johnson in High School, both became the leaders of the River Vixens.

Though Kaya Johnson - their only daughter - was far from sporty, she still became best friends with The Blossom's charming red head, Cheryl Blossom. It all started when the small dough-eyed, raven haired petite child was shoved so hard into the pale blue lockers that she spilt her juice box over her favorite dress. Cheryl Blossom - thought to others to be the devil in disguise - noticed the girl, she wasn't used to being pulled to 'nerds' like Kaya, but apparently there was something about her that caused Cheryl to want to help the poor child.

Since that day, they became the best of friends. Kaya was the first picked for everything and anything - even when it came to sports. However, one day it was obvious that the friendship would come to a halt. The Johnson's had been struggling financially, at first The Blossom's gave a hand but after realizing that the family weren't going to get their high status back they disowned them, telling the confused redhead that were a disgrace to Riverdale. Cheryl, at the time believed every word that came out of her mother and fathers mouth, it was a sin not to.

Kaya spent months at school being bullied by the one person she truly loved and adored, eventually leading her, her older brother, younger sister (who in fact wasn't born then) and parents to move to England. Very far from the quaint town of Riverdale. She grew to adore the city however, she never truly felt herself as she felt a huge part missing. Cheryl Blossom.

So, when her mother walked into her room on a rainy Saturday morning, pulling back the curtains causing the raven haired girl to groan, her heart leapt as her mother told them they were moving back to Riverdale. Kaya had her fingers crossed that Cheryl was the girl she used to know.
