Rin woke up with a startle. The sun was shining into the cave making everything glisten. Condensed water dripped off of the ceiling and hit the ground next to him. He could smell burning, the fire must still be going. "Good morning moss-face. You should really get that off before you eat." Rex said smiling, and looking at his cheek.
"Oh man, that stuff is really comfortable." he said sluggishly, feeling his cheek and wiping the moss off of it.
"Well, I'm sure you used a bit of energy yesterday. It looked like I scared you to death when I walked out, ha-ha" Rex laughed and Rin couldn't help but turn a little red with embarrassment. "I guess I went a little overboard with the deep voice and the fire. I really do not want anything to do with the humans anymore."
"What did you say about a barrier last night?" Rin asked.
"Oh yes, that. Well, sit down, this is going to be a long story."
"Well,I wouldn't mind another one." Rin said, smiling.
