"So, I'm guessing I'm going to need a saddle. I don't think it would be wise for me to ride on your back as your scales would tear up my legs. Do you have one with you?"

"Yes, actually. Let me go get it." he walked back into a corridor which led to a room that smelled of old leather. He can back out with the saddle clamped in his jaw and set it on the ground in front of Rin. "Here you go. I'll come back for fitting in a moment."

Rex went back to the room that had ancient drawings of a human merging both the dragons, and the humans, back into peace. It showed the rigidly drawn human with wings on his back being followed by a dragon on his left side and a human clad in armor on the other side. There was writing in draconic language under the picture that read: Tsun wais rohdën tas speäq, tärn na esën, näv spet inëte blaph, shay bën thinë un të lif term ay të pinä. Thou who breaks the spell, showeth no evil, nor spills innocent blood, shall beith thine one to lead them all to peace. He spoke to himself after reading it. It will be a hard process for him, I hope he can do it. Not just for his own life, but for the lives of both the dragons and humans. I'm sure they will all accept him eventually. After all, they'll have to. I'll need to protect him if he is to bring the races together, they're going to try and stop him as much as they can... Those stupid humans! Why did they ever think to start a war with us in the first place? He growled unconsciously. Oh well, no use in thinking of that now. I just need to focus on how I am going to bring the boy to the mages.

"Rex! I need you here so you can put this on!" Rin yelled to him.

"Alright, I'm coming." Rex yelled back as he started heading out of the room. Rin had waited impatiently on the log. He looked almost frustrated because of Rex's detour. He threw the saddle over Rex's back, "Alright that should work. Let me just adjust these now." he brought the straps to the other side and put one through the loop behind the wing and one in front. "That's not going to hurt your scar, is it?"

"No, it's fine. I can't even feel it, actually." Rex said looking back.

"Hmm, do you have any metal laying around? And possibly some kind of metal working station?"

"I most certainly do. What do you want with those?" Rex asked.

"You'll see." Rin said as he smiled back. Rex went to the corridor next to the leather room and came back out with five thick sheets of metal in his mouth and a hammer on the seat. he set the metal on the ground, "Here you go, everything else you'll need is right over there." he pointed at the open entrance to a smaller room with a light coming in from the ceiling. "I hope you know how to use one because I don't."

"Yes, my father taught me a lot about how to use one, and I'm sure I can figure some things out on my own, I think of myself as very intuitive." he smiled.

"I shall leave you to that then. I am going to go make plans for the journey." Rex said, walking away.
