It has been a week of living in LA. Morgan and I went out every day to surf, skateboard, bike and even work out every day.

Utah didn't have the adventures that California had.

Today we were doing something a little more casual than yesterday's activity, which was skydiving. I was given permission to plan a chill, relaxing event for the day. Something that Morgan and I would appreciate.

Griffith Park! It was huge, and I've been wanting to go on a hike for awhile.

I woke up this morning to Marissa jamming out in the kitchen, cooking us breakfast. I listened closely to her humming the tune, and I could hear the vibrations in the walls from the speakers.

After a few minutes of me gazing into the distance, Marissa yelled at us to come downstairs and work on school.

It had become a regular routine to get the schoolwork done very early in the morning and have the rest of our day to ourselves. Without Marissa helping me out, I still would've been at school, being bullied. But luckily I'm away from that.

I changed into some clothes, as I was only wearing a loose shirt that night. I put on some plaid pajama pants and a big sweater from my dad's law firm. I then brushed my hair and ran downstairs to start my work.

Morgan and I finished up at 12 pm, giving us the rest of the afternoon to walk in the park. We discussed our hike while we worked on math problems. It's pretty obvious we didn't get much done. But that didn't bother any of us.

Morgan was in the car waiting for me because I needed to change. I put on some leggings and a sports bra. I grabbed a hat and ran out of the house into my Jeep.

Once we arrived, we took no time to begin our run.

"So, I haven't asked yet, but do you have a boyfriend?" Morgan huffed under her breath.

"Nope!" I laughed, struggling to build a sentence.

"I don't have that big of an interest in relationships. All guys seem to be jerks!"

I looked over at her while running. As I almost spoke, I crashed to the ground.

"Dude, watch where you're going!" Morgan complained, reaching for my hand.  "You almost knocked her out!"

I got up, facing myself towards Morgan and giving her a "chill-out" look. I turned around to apolog-

Am I seeing double? I must've hit my head HARD on the ground.

"Sorry about that," one of them apologized, reaching for my hand to shake it, "I wasn't paying attention."

"Oh, it's ok!" I laughed, shrugging the situation off.

Morgan shook both of their hands while introducing us.

"I'm Ethan and this is Grayson," Ethan explained, pointing at who I was assuming was Grayson.

"It was nice meeting you," Grayson awkwardly mumbled, probably wanting to get away from the situation. Ethan clearly wanted to stay.

"Actually, can we walk with you guys? Grayson was boring me out." Ethan laughed, walking beside Morgan.

I shrug, why not? They didn't seem harmful. Grayson sighed, walking beside me.

"So... tell me about yourself."

"There's really not much to say," He sheepishly said.

We finished our walk with exchanging phone numbers and planning our next time to hang out. Ethan and Morgan seemed to hit it off, as Grayson and I just chatted about the plain old basics. Morgan and I were in the car, picking up some pineapple pizza for dinner. The car ride was silent. I was just looking around the city, admiring the view.

" 'Night Marissa!" I yelled, running up the stairs to my room.

Morgan went to bed before we ate dinner. As I was walking towards my bedroom door I heard silent cries. I looked around the hallway, searching for Morgan's room. It was obviously her, who else would it be?

I opened a door to my right, finding Morgan lying in her bed with a picture frame in front of her. I walked over to her, lying down next to her and putting my arm around her shoulder. We laid there forever until I shifted my body to face the picture frame, curious about her sadness.

I saw Morgan and a boy who looked our age, arms wrapped around each other, grinning and eyes wide.

"Morg? Who's that?" I asked, facing my head towards Morgan, who was falling asleep.

She formed a questioned mumble while her eyes were trying to open. She struggled to open her eyes and looked at me, with her pupils large and her eyes forming tears. She started crying while attempting to explain herself.

"He was my boyfriend - ex-boyfriend," She cried, rolling her eyes when she said "ex", "He was perfect. WAS perfect."

"What do you mean?" I asked, pulling my arm away from her and crossing mine.

"I'd rather not say." Morgan claimed, teared up, ashamed. I sat there in silence. I knew Morgan didn't want to talk about her past, her crying showing it.

We laid in her bed for the rest of the night. Her crying slowed down, and she was soon asleep. I laid there for another 10 minutes, examining the picture.

Though it was black and white, I could easily read his appearance. Hair as dark as coal, and scruff covering his lower face. He had a sweet, huge smile, and I could tell they were both happy.

Did something happen all of a sudden that he started ruining her? Is this why Morgan obviously wasn't interested in guys? She and Ethan seemed to like each other a lot, could he change the way she thinks about guys?
