The refreshing taste of lemonade cooled my throat, sending chills to my brain. My arms relaxed at the citrus taste, everything on my body felt satisfied. Finishing the last ounce of the liquid, I crumbled the plastic cup and threw it in my trash can.
My room was cluttered. The bed wasn't made, clothes spilled out of my closet, and empty salad containers littered my desk. I was lying in a slump the whole day, forcing myself to catch up on schoolwork. Though it wasn't my first wish to do equations, Marissa reminded me my laptop needed a friend and I should start getting back on my schedule.
Disneyland was a blast. We went on rollercoasters, took millions of digital photos, talked, and met all the princesses and princes. The boys were pushing a smile through their lips, but it was undeniable that they didn't enjoy every moment. The rides were the fun part, but meeting people dressed up in costumes brought the contentment down.
My only wish was to spend every day with the boys and Morgan, but I have homework and they have videos, so today was a break day. I blocked myself from my phone, encouraging me not to detract Grayson and Ethan from their video making. Grayson mentioned videos that they made, and boy did I want to do those challenges with them too. Maybe one day us four could do a video together, but it differs because of their fans. I only want the fandom to be happy, and maybe seeing two girls faces appear on the screen won't bring them to that level.
My dad sent love to me after I transported the several pictures of Disneyland to him. He peeped jealously, but I promised our special day would come. Grayson and I's relationship was mentioned, but who knows where we are right now. I'm coming to the conclusion that his fans are more important, so I can't get my hopes up for our future. Maybe one day, but I have to accept the answer. Youtube is far more important, and I understand that.
I yawned, clicking through each question and answering them with little knowledge about what it was actually asking me, but I sustained a 98% average on the test. Proud and bored of my accomplishment, I went to Morgan's room, hungry for food and fun.
Knocking three times on the white wooden door, her identical fatigue blew off. Morgan's eyes were stern and deep green, and the wavy brown hair of hers was braided in two tight fitting braids. A lazy ensemble made with a band dress shirt, and unicorn slippers.
"I finished the test." I blubbered, walking into the pastel colored room. Morgan's bed had pink drapery hanging over, casting a 'Tumblr' essence. Her bed wasn't made, but it still looked beautiful. And her white desk had her huge mac on top, with the math test plastered on the screen.
"Well, I certainly didn't." Morgan sat down at her desk, and I rest on the edge of her bed, pulling out my phone. I played the piano game while Morgan screamed in frustration. I ignored her temper, turning up the volume on my phone. More screams and cries came from Morgan. "This is so hard!"
Marissa jogged to the door, entering the room and standing by Morgan's desk. Marissa looked just as tired as the two of us, with her short brown hair flying around her head. Crossing her arms, she stared at Morgan harshly, then dragging her daunting stare towards me.
"What the hell?" Marissa yelled, slamming her arm on Morgan's desk. I jumped back, petrified with the noise. I've never seen this side of Marissa, especially right after her sappy moment. "Where on this f*cking earth were you two all day yesterday?!"
Morgan saved the test and logged off her computer with no emotion. I don't know whether or not she's experienced this, but I was frozen in horror. Marissa glared at me, sending nervous chills throughout my whole body. The sharp green eyes burned through me like lasers. A knot in my throat choked me, and I coughed it out, still feeling the lump.
"I forbid you to go outside for the next week. And I assume you were out with those guys, so tell them I want to talk. Invite them over for dinner tonight, I'll knock some sense into you all." She miffed, "And after dinner, we'll see how they are and see if they're a good influence. If not, you're never talking to them again until you're of age."
Morgan and I quivered, taking a gander at each other and scared stiff. I was not only terrified by Marissa but how agonized I would feel without the twins. Morgan whimpered as tears filled her eyes, covering the emerald and hardheartedness. I stood my ground, holding back the gloom.
"Mom! You can't ban me from seeing Ethan!" Morgan sobbed, pawing at her mom in anger. "Please don't do that!"
Morgan lifted her arm and slapped Marissa in the face, leaving a red mark on Marissa's left cheek. I shrieked, unable to move. I couldn't believe a daughter raised her hand to her own mother. Especially someone who was loving and full of laughter. If I slapped my mom, it would've been a different story. Though I never have, it would've been as self-defense. But Marissa would never hit me, so what would give me the audacity to hit her? I sat on the edge of the bed, numb and unable to move, or think.
It was understandable why Marissa was mad, but forbidding the twins? Maybe too much. We didn't text her or call her anytime yesterday, so I should've seen it coming. And Marissa made it clear many times that we had to tell her where we were going.
"Get the hell out of my god damn house right now you disrespectful little girl! Get out, I repeat, now!" Marissa thundered, pointing at the door and staring into Morgan's soul, hypnotizing her. Morgan got up and ran out of the house without further thinking.
The huge vast door roared as is slammed shut, pulsating the entire mansion. With such power, it rumbled anger and frustration. The Porsche's engine growled in the distance, suddenly disappearing. I turned over to Marissa, who was fuming. Literal steam fired out of her ears.
"She won't be gone for long, she must come back for dinner," Marissa mumbled, facing me. I gulped, scared what she was going to do. "Text the boys."
She pointed towards my phone and wiggled her finger, leaving the room. I pulled out my phone, shivering.
Jenna: get ready for a terrifying dinner of your life, kids.
Ethan: What do you mean by terrifying?
Jenna: whelp, my mom is pissed off that we didn't tell her where we were yesterday.
Grayson: You didn't tell her?
Ethan: Why didn't you tell her?
Jenna: besides the point. anyways, get suited up and gather your manners boys, because the Dolan twins are coming over to the Vinson's tonight.
Ethan: Isn't your last name Sterne?
Jenna: again, besides the point.
Grayson: Okay... we'll be there
Jenna: and act like you're meeting the queen, because Marissa is expecting some class.
Ethan: Got it.

Sorry for the cussing, Marissa had a moment. I'm strongly against it, but she was mad.
Also, this chapter short as hell, I need to make them longer. Or do you like it short? Thoughts?
So... what's going to happen at dinner? Thoughts?
