Spongebob Squarepants played on the flat screen in our movie room. Morgan passed me popcorn while Alex asked irrelevant questions related to the cartoon. It was a girls night.

"How is that even possible for a sponge?" Alex asked while Spongebob stretched out his arms on the screen. "How?"

"The answer to that question remains unknown." Morgan drowned out the TV show. "We should go see the producer of Spongebob!"

"How is that even possible?" I asked.

"Mom is in the Hollywood biz, Jenna. Remember, she directed several films that got Oscars. I think that she could hook us up with the producer of a cartoon show." She boasted. I rolled my eyes. She's cocky.

"If you were to do so, invite me along. I've never been near fame." Alex piped in.

"You ate dinner with our mom last night." I roll my eyes over Morgan's head towards Alex. "She's a director, as Morgan said."

Things cleared up for Morgan and I. She started to become kinder, ever since I started to hang out with Alex. Every since I got back from Hawaii, I remembered how amazing friendships are. Alex and I are so close now, ever since she opened up to me about everything.

"Speaking of eating dinner," Alex's stomach growled. Morgan giggled.

"We should go out." Morgan reached for the remote to turn off the TV. "Jenna? Thoughts?"

I was hungry too. "I'm down." I stand up out of the seat. Morgan and Alex do the same. "Where to?"

We headed out of the basement to the front door. "Sushi," Morgan smirked, grabbing her wallet from the side table near the front door. "Mom! We're going out!" Marissa became more relax with us going out. She used to be a rebellious too. She even turned my runaway vacation into a joke.

"Just don't fly to another state! Mostly towards Jenna!" She called from her den. Morgan and Alex laughed as they left the house. I sighed, following them out the door. It's been 3 months since I left and I still get teased.

"Shotgun!" I yelled from behind. Before I could take a glance at the car, Alex was already buckling in.

"Sorry!"

I groaned, entering the backseat. I pulled out my phone, connecting it to Morgan's car. "I get music then."

"It's fine, my music sucks anyways." Alex laughs, Morgan harmonizes in with her. I don't laugh, just play my music. "Not your country music, Jen!" They both say in sync. They tease me for it, but it reminds me of home. Speaking of which, I need to catch up with my dad. I send him a text. Call later tonight, love you.

"So, Alex, have any restaurants to go to?" Morgan looks over at Alex, who is tapping her fingers across her thigh.

"No. Got any conversation topics? Let's talk loudly over this music!" Alex chuckles. Morgan flips her hair over her shoulder, which was now cut into a short bob. She looked 25. "How's your boyfriend, huh?"

I turn off my phone, listening to what Morgan has to say. She's been quiet about Ethan for a while. "Good." She nods her head and continues to drive.

"Morg's hiding something, Jenna. Let's pry it out of her." Alex grins, looking at me in the back. "MORGAN!" She yells in her ear.

"I'm driving! Please, Alex." She pushes Alex away. Morgan doesn't seem too happy.

"Whoa, someone has issues." Alex crosses the line. She's done this a lot with us. I'm better with my temper, but Morgan tends to flip out.

"Shut up, Alex! I'm sorry you don't have a lover to fondle over twenty-four seven, okay? I'm sorry that I actually have something to live for!" She snaps. Alex sits back in her seat. I can't tell if she's offended or up for the challenge. I usually would bust in, but I want to see what Alex has to say.
