A honk beeped, music to my ears. Grayson was here. I said goodbye to Morgan and Marissa, and I headed out the door with my backpack, ready for anything that would happen.

Grayson told me that this date was a surprise, and I should be up for an adventure. I sure was. Anything exciting seemed to be enjoyable if I were to be with Grayson. He seemed to make things superior.

I walked down the driveway, hopping in a teal and white Jeep-looking car. I haven't seen Grayson ride this before, but it sure as hell was unique and beautiful. I buckled my seatbelt and looked over at Grayson, who was on his phone. I was slightly bugged by his actions, but I didn't want to bring an argument to the date. Grayson noticed I was in the car, and immediately shoved his phone is his pocket. He started up the car and started driving in silence. The tension between us was real. We've only hung out with friends, and not as a date. Now it was just us, going to do something that might turn into something more.

"I haven't seen you drive this car before, Grayson," I stated, "When did you get it?"

"Ethan surprised me and got it for me." He smiled, looking over at me. "Do you like it?"

I loved the car. It was teal with a matte finish, which was such a retro type thing to do. The interior design was edgy, and the seats were comfy. Always a plus.

"It's amazing!" I exclaimed, looking around the car, admiring each bit of it. "Ethan must be the best brother ever."

"He is." Grayson laughed, turning on the radio to a station I have yet to know about. "Besides me."

He winks at me which drives me crazy, it was so simple yet seductive. I was going mental. I tried to think about something else besides the little things in Grayson that drove me nuts.

"Where are we going?" I ask, changing the subject.

"I said it was a surprise," Grayson retorted, looking over at me and smirking. "There's two places we're going."

He needed to stop before I said something about it. He was doing all these things that were so harmless, but they're killing me.

Grayson hummed along to the song, and I giggled at how deep his hum was to mine. I joined in with him, and we both started to hum in harmony. It was moments like these that I wanted to last forever, the moments where it seemed like it was just the two of us. I looked over at him as he was smiling to himself, and I gathered his appearance.

His hair was a dark brunette, with very faded blonde highlights where it was covering a third of his forehead. His eyes were a dark hazel, but some days they were brown. He had a very sharp jawline, but not as sharp as Ethan's. His ear was decorated with a dangly feather earring, which made it simple to tell the twins apart. His lips were soft and plump, which made me want to kiss them. I have never been so crazy about a boy I just met. I need to stop. I looked away, distracting myself from the beauty of the boy humming beside me.

I was admiring the outside world of LA until the car pulled into a parking lot, which seemed to be a mall. I look over at Grayson who was unbuckling his seatbelt and staring at me with a gazed expression. He immediately looked away when we had eye-contact, and I laughed. He seemed so awkward, but his awkwardness is what made him himself. I felt like I have known Grayson since the day I was born. I felt as if I could read everything he thinks, and everything he does.

"Here we are," Grayson mumbled awkwardly, still embarrassed. "The Grove."

I looked around, examining the outdoor mall that lay before us. It had fairy lights hanging from building to building, a huge fountain in the middle, and people walking on the cement ground.
