I hopped down the stairs, one step at a time, busting a move each time my foot hit the ground, dancing to the music in the kitchen.
I walked in the kitchen, taking a seat on the island stool, where Morgan was sitting, and Marissa on the other side, facing towards us. Marissa walked over to the speaker, turning it off, ruining my groove.
"Good morning, Jenna." Marissa greeted, looking tired. "We're setting rules, ok?"
I look over at Morgan, who looked frightened that she did something wrong. But I knew Marissa was going to say something about my behavior last night. Marissa turned her head towards me, crossing her arms over her chest, raising a brow, asking me to explain myself. Did I think we already discussed this?
"Jenna, you tell me everything that's going on," Marissa began, "I'm so grateful to have two young girls living in my house, I want to know everything about them."
Morgan looks over at me, seeming to be pissed off that I left without her last night.
"I tell you everything, mom." Morgan groans, jumping out of her chair and walking over to the fridge. "I wasn't the one who left the house without permission."
Morgan grabs a carton of milk and whips her head around, facing me, smirking. Marissa turned towards Morgan, waving her finger around.
"No, no, no. I didn't mean you have to have my permission," Marissa denied, facing towards me again. "Just tell me where you're going that's all."
"I understand Marissa. I will tell you from now on." I smile, completely agreeing with her.
"Call me mom, at least!" Marissa giggles, grabbing Morgan's attention and causing her to fume. "At least for the time we have together, hun."
I grin, getting up from my seat, going over to hug Marissa. I walk over to her and form a tight hug. I open my eyes and see Morgan leaning on the counter, chugging her milk and smirking at me. We sure had an odd friendship. She hates me and loves me at the same time.
I break from the hug, walking over to Morgan, grabbing her cup and chugging the rest of the milk, teasing her. Morgan groans, walking over to the island and sitting down. I finished the milk and put it in the dishwasher, then sitting back down.
"Where's the butler?" I ask, curious when we were going to eat. "I haven't seen him in awhile."
"He's on break," Marissa stated, "Which means we're going to take turns making breakfast."
Morgan gasps.
"What?" Morgan complained.
"Today Morgan, you're going to cook while Jenna and I talk." Marissa smiles, walking over to Morgan's seat and pushing her, nagging her to get off. Morgan groans, getting up and grabbing the supplies for breakfast. "So, where were you last night? And don't say a friend's."
I really didn't want to mention I was hanging out with Ethan and Grayson because Morgan would be furious if she found out. I stuttered, trying to make up a lie.
"I know you were hanging out with the twins, Jenna." Morgan laughs, whisking the ingredients. "Don't need to hide it, honey. I know I was being moody and you didn't want me there."
"Oh, well then," I admitted, "I was hanging out with these twins Morgan and I met the day before."
"Tell me all about them!" Marissa squeals, excited about us making new friends, "I want to know everything."
Morgan chuckles, grabbing a pan from the drawer and putting it on the stove. She looks over at me, grinning wide, knowing that her mom would freak out even more if she knew they were guys. I smile back at her, eager to tell Morgan and Marissa that Ethan likes Morgan. They would both be shocked.
"Well, their names are Ethan and Grayson," I began, "And they are both adorable. And one of them has the hots for Morgan..."
I teased, winking at Morgan who looked scared of who it was.
"Who?" Marissa and Morgan ask at the same time.
"Ethan." I beam, looking over at Morgan who was grinning ear-to-ear.
Marissa screams, running over to Morgan and giving her a tight squeeze.
"My little baby has a boyfriend!" Marissa teases, rocking Morgan's body back-and-forth in their hug, repeating the words.
"Mom!" Morgan groans, ripping Marissa off her chest. "He's not my boyfriend..."
Marissa walks back over to the stool, facing towards me and smiling.
"If she won't tell me about him, you do." She commands, intertwining her fingers and resting her chin on her knuckles. "What does he look like?"
"He has soft black hair with a white strand, brown eyes, and a very sharp jawline." I wink at Morgan, who was blushing. "He's the whole package."
Marissa beamed. She looked so joyful.
"Don't lead this all to me," Morgan argued, shaking her finger, "We need to discuss your little crush too!"
I smile cheekily, looking like a monkey. Marissa grabbed my hands and squeezed them tightly.
"You better tell me everything! Right now!" Marissa giggled, "I want to know every detail about you and Morgan's boyfriends."
Morgan sighed, flipping a pancake. I didn't know what to say about Grayson without completely fangirling over him. There was so much I liked about him, but I wasn't good with expressing feelings. Morgan looked behind her shoulder towards me, raising one eyebrow to gesture that she wasn't going to start off about Ethan. I shook my head in disagreement, not wanting to go on forever about all the things I adored about Grayson. Morgan shook her head, turning back to the stove in disappointment. Marissa coughed, pointing out that no one had said anything in the past few seconds. Morgan flipped the last pancake, and put in on a platter, placing it on the island for us to devour.
"If Jenna isn't going to talk about Grayson, I guess I'll talk about E," Morgan insisted, calling Ethan 'E', which sounded so odd not to come from Grayson.
"He's sweet, charming, funny, adorable, crazy, wild, passionate, confident, positive, and hot." She grinned, grabbing a pancake and shoving it in her mouth, grinding it with her teeth vigorously. Marissa looked at Morgan with a concerned expression.
"He better enjoy obnoxious eaters, because you're definitely one of them," Marissa groaned, getting up from her chair and messing Morgan's hair playfully.
"Hey!" Morgan shrieked, patting her hair down, and shoving another pancake into her mouth, attempting to speak. "I'm only obnoxious around you!"
I grabbed a pancake from the platter, and slowly eating it, pleasing Marissa.
"See Morgan? Jenna is being a polite eater."
I grin at Morgan, closing my eyes and acting like a baby. Morgan mumbles in response.
"Well Morgan, that's great that you like so many things about Ethan," Marissa smiled, patting Morgan's back. "And what do you like about Grayson, Jenna?"
There were many things on why I like Grayson, such as he's humorous, encouraging, and awkward. Being around him just made me, here's the word again, giddy. I'm just happy.
"Well, there's a lot to say, but he mainly makes me smile," I giggle, acting like a child. "I'd love to continue, but I have to get going on a date!"
