Matthew, my son, swung his arms around me while I was making his lunch. "I love you, mommy!" His curly hair tickled my arm.

"I love you too, baby bear." I kissed his forehead. "Now eat your breakfast before your older sister eats it!" I reached for his sensitive spot and he squealed. Macy would be downstairs any minute. And she has quite an appetite.

She thunders down the stairs, pulling on a sweater over top of her body. "Morning, ma. Can you drive me to school today? Jax had practice." Her boyfriend used to drive her to school every morning, but now he seems absent.

"Ask your father, once he's down here," I instruct her.

"Dad!"

"Once he's down here, you goon!" Matthew spits.

"Oh, you little -"

"Kids! Watch your selves." I bark before anything starts.

His loud steps roam our home. I always can sense it's him. That's just how things work when you're in love. You know everything and more about them.

He greets each one of our children individually, "Good morning..." Once he's done, he walks up to me, his warm breath still sending shivers down my spine. His soft lips touch my cheek. "Good morning, beautiful."

I turn around, urging to hug him. "Morning, Wesley."

His teeth shine like they did when he was twenty-five. I always see the young in him, even though we're old. I remember the first day we met. It was like it was just yesterday. Now we have two kids, one in her senior year. Time flies when you're in love.

"I love you, Jenna."

"I love you too."

Matthew groans. "Get a room!" He drags his words boringly.

"Matthew shut it. Mom and dad are adorable. Just wait, when you're in love, it'll feel like it's only you and your soulmate in the world." Macy illustrates. "They probably can't even hear us right now!"

Wesley smiles. "Well said, Macy. It's true! I feel like I'm in a fantasy world looking into your mom's eyes."

Matthew compliments me, "They are pretty beautiful."

"Don't make me blush! You kids have to go to school!" I giggle. "Wes, can you take Macy with you too?"

Wesley frowns. "Why don't you spend time with your daughter? Her school is ten minutes in the other direction from my office! I can only take Matt, babe." He grabs his keys and kisses my cheek, then faces Macy. "I love you, Macy, but I really got to go. Bye girls!"

I cross my arms as soon as the doors closed. "Your father..."

Macy grabs her bag, "Come on, ma. I really need to talk to you." I grin. I love mother-daughter talk.

We get into my Jeep that I still have from twenty-five years ago. Wow, I am certainly old. "So? What do we need to talk about." Girl talk is so pleasurable.

"I saw your journal."

"Macy! You can't just look at my stuff like that."

"Can you tell me about your life? You always push it aside. Like, I didn't know you didn't have a mom! I thought Marissa was your mom. And grandpa? Was he married twice? You had two friends that died in a car crash? Mom, your life seemed so perfect!"

"Why does the past matter, Macy? It'll only break my heart more."

"I also didn't know you and Grayson Dolan were in love! He's like, so famous! You went to India as soon as he left on tour!  Can I at least here about that? When did you meet dad? I want to hear about him as a university student."
