Dean of course tried looking up Castiel Novak on Google, even checking his Facebook but no such luck. It looked like Castiel stopped updating his Facebook about... three years ago.

That was around the time after their break up.

He knew he seemed like a teenage fangirl stalker, but he wanted to catch up with Cas again. After Cas and him broke up, he was stalker central and followed up on what Castiel was doing. Sam called him obsessive but Dean knew he was just looking out for Cas even when they were no longer together. After no luck of finding any dirt on Cas, he went for the extreme approach. He copied and printed Cas's license plate. Dean waited two days later before he donned the old rental suit and headed to the police headquarters.

He walked into the building and was greeted by a policeman with a stern look. Before he could question him, Dean took out his badge and held it up. "Agent David Woodward working with the FBI." The policeman nodded. "I'm chief officer Allen Grey, how may I help you?"

"Actually, we've been tracking a criminal who's been wrecking havoc down South. I've got a license plate one of the agents caught on camera and I'd-We'd like to identify it." He explained semi-smoothly. After years of doing this you'd think he'd have this shit fully memorized. He quickly took out the piece of paper with the license plate on it and showed it to the officer.

"Hmm, the FBI didn't alert us of any new criminals." Grey said rubbing his chin in confusion.

"Well this was just recent. You know how we like to keep a low profile. So can you run a ANPR on it?" He asked professionally.

Grey nodded affirmatively. "Yes. Let me take this to the ANPR database. Carl will run a quick scan. Well as quick as we can manage." he walked away and Dean waited there patiently, leaning on the balls of the feet.

Grey came back to him thirty or so minutes later with a sheet of paper. "This is all the information on the license plate. The name, current address, all that.." Dean opened his mouth but Grey beat him to it.

"No, I didn't read it. I don't want the FBI on my tail or something." Allen Grey said with a little chuckle. Dean forced a smile and felt relieved. He didn't want the police force to suspect Cas as a criminal.

Dean nodded a goodbye at the officer. "Thank you."

"Oh we're happy to help. Contact us if you need anything else!"

Dean walked out of the police station feeling slightly guilty, since he was tricking an officer for personal issues, but also with a burst of adrenaline and rebelliousness. He was going to find Cas, and nothing would stand in his way.

"No!"

"Claire, give Randy to papa." Castiel said, holding out his hand for Claire to give him her teddy bear. He hasn't had the time to wash it in weeks and it got to the point where he felt uncomfortable around the bear.

"It's dirty. Don't you want Randy to be clean and look all brand new?" Castiel coaxed.

Claire shook her head and held Randy tightly to her chest. "No papa, Rwandy is clean to me."

Castiel sighed in defeat and ran and hand down his face. There was no point in arguing so his best bet was to wait until she took her nap or was distracted with something else and then wash the damn bear. He walked over to the couch and slouched lazily on it. Some cartoon was playing on the television screen that Claire was previously watching and lost interest in. He recognized but it wasn't bothered to conjure up the name of it in his head.
