~Gale POV~
Being sick sucks but having Luna to take care of me made it a little better. I still felt bad because my whole family had ditched me along with every other dragon slayer so poor Luna had to take care of me. She was a natural at it. She is going to be a good mother someday. A few days later everyone came back except mom and Lia they were still on a mission trying to do something about something. Luna made me train every day until dad and Emma arrived home. I almost fell to my knees and praised the ground they were walking on until dad started talking to her.
"He's grown physically at least maybe not so much mentally." She says
"Well, just do what Levy does and throw a book at him." Dad says
"Nah, I just make him do planks while I sit on his back until he can either give me the right answer or until he collapses and passes out sadly he hasn't passed out yet." Luna replies
"Well, you need to work him harder than." Dad replies to here patting her on the shoulder. My mouth hangs open my own father betraying me.
"Treacherous snake. High treason! Ultimate dishonor!" I yell and point my finger at him. (If anyone knows where this is from I'll give you a shout out.)
He looks at me like I'm five and I accused him of stealing the fairest princess in all the land and know I'll never live happily ever after. Luna stands next to him her cheeks red from holding in her laughter which she fails at only seconds later.
"Yeah, maybe the book isn't such a good idea kiddo, maybe a baseball bat huh? possibly made out of metal?" He asks before rubbing the top of her head making her hair go in different directions.
She swats his hands away and tries to fix her hair. Both Lily and Midnight along with Emma have come out ready to watch something. What it is I have no idea until I turn and look back towards Luna who has the same look in her eye as Erza does when someone ruins her strawberry cake. Honestly, for the world's shortest, smallest human alive Luna is both strong and scary which is why I am now hanging upside down from my foot which is tied to a tree.
"And how is this helping my train?" I ask both irritated and confused.
"Well, seeing as how you can't use both mental and physically abilities at the same time I decided to work just one. The weakest one you have mental." She shrugs before grabbing yet another textbook
"So why am I upside down?" I ask
"So hopefully the blood with go from your everywhere else to your head."
"You that has not been proven effective for anyone ever and I highly doubt it ever will." I say
"And yet you could have cut yourself down multiple times and here you are still hanging upside down from a tree and who got you up there, but a small weak human." She says smirking
"We both know for a fact that if you ever get hurt by accident or not the whole guild and possibly most of Mongolia will hunt down and kill the person who dared touched a hair on your head. As strong as I may be we also both know for a fact that not only while Erza and Mirajane get angry the whole world is screwed but if Rosemary or Kai gets mad we might as move to a new planet a few million light years away and then maybe we have a chance of living for longer than a few days." I say before making my arm a sword and cutting myself down. A bad idea I realized as soon as I hit the ground
Luna says nothing but I can hear her choking back a laugh as she lets out a sigh.
"Sometimes I wonder who's dumber you or dad and it's these moments that I realize it's you." Emma says snickering
"Oh, shut up you metal eating screw for brains." I snap before realizing we both inherited dads dragon slayer magic.
"Wow real smooth so how are you going to defend this one you metal eating screw for brains." She says mocking me.
I stand up and puff my cheeks out and she stands her ground doing the same.
IRON DRAGONS ROAR
We both go at the same time feet firmly planted as they collide with each other. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Luna jump clearly not expecting for this to happen. Sadly dad taught us both the same and seeing as how we live together it only makes sense that we are equally matched in power and strength so soon we both die out only to have another go at it again until we again die out.
"Okay, are you two done blowing wind at each other?" Luna asks but even though she rolls her eyes and acts annoyed I can tell it bugs her not having any magic. I mean I can't put myself in her shoes having magic basically defined who I was. I joined Fairy Tail the day I was able to walk having the mark on my shoulder I was not only branded with the mark of Fairy Tail but also my desteny as cliche as it sounds it's true. Having magic gives you few options to what you can do, but eveyone loves their job. Being born with no magic into a house filled to the brim with well-known wizards gives you few options.
"Yes, we are done blowing wind at each other.' I say rolling my eyes even though my heart isn't fully in it.
Luna takes me through a few more exercises and Emma saying how there is literally nothing else to do joins me, but I know she doesn't want me surpassing her in anything. I look over to Luna and see a small trace of sadness in her eyes even as she laughs.
I promise I'll do anything to make you happy... I hate seeing you sad... I promise to one day hopefully give you powers of your own...
