No magic? No problem

Chapter 17

~GALE POV~

"Luna your eyes. Why are they black?"

I freeze for a second. Black? Did he say black? I look at her and some sort of black magic is moving along her arms. I gently place my hand on her shoulder which causes her to whip around and her eyes are pitch black.

"Luna come on. This isn't you. You're so much better than this." I say rubbing her arm.

I watch as the black slowly drains from her eyes until a man comes from the woods. He has a smirk on his face and he holds out his hand like one of us is going to walk to him. Luna tilts her head at the man the black slowly crawling back in her eyes.

"Come to me, my dear daughter." He says

I laugh at him because he's clearly crazy that is until Luna starts slowing leaning forward. I stare at her for a minute before grabbing her arm and pulling her to me.

"Luna, what are doing?"

"I must go. My father is calling me." She says her eyes trained on the man

"What are you talking about? As much as I hate to admit it Natsu is your father." I tell her turning to her and shaking her a bit

She raises her hand and I go flying backward. I hit the ground hard only to get back up to see Natsu standing in front of her. She grabs him and throws him behind her like he was a rag rather than a person. He breaks part of the door but doesn't seem to care as he gets back up I find myself doing the same thing as we both race to her. She continues to walk forward and push the both of us back.

"My daughter it's been fifteen long years. I have never got to meet you in person fully. I have watched over you all this time wishing I could meet you but never finding the right moment. I am so sorry I couldn't restore your magic ability sooner. I hope you will forgive me and what I do can make up for a small portion of the pain I have caused you in your life." He says as he takes her hands.

She nods and steps closer to him. A sickening smile spreads across his face as he pulls her into a hug his arms wrapping around her body.

"It's time my child to go."

He begins to drag her back into the woods until he and Luna become covered in oil. The man lets go of Luna to try and get the oil out of his eyes. I see a flash of blue and Luna is pulled away by Levy.

"Solid Script: Fire!" Lia yells and the word appears in front of her and it starts whoever the guy is on fire. He lets loose a string of curses before the flames are swallowed by dark magic. Luna is in Gajeel's grasp but she fights to get away and I run to her grabbing her shoulders.

"LUNA COME ON! SNAP OUT OF IT!" I scream at her but it doesn't do anything. The dark magic that covers her arms explodes making both Gajeel and me go flying.

"Daughter we must hurry."

Luna takes off for the trees trying her hardest not to slip. I dive into the forest just behind her and follow the trail of oil that her feet leave behind. They lead me to a clearing where the dark magic is all the way up her arms and some is forming at her feet. She and the man are wiping oil from their bodies as much as they can.

"Well that was difficult but I'm glad to see the magic in your body is working well though I am sorry that you had to hurt that boyfriend of yours." He says and she shakes her head. blinking her eyes I can see they are no longer black but back to her emerald green. 

"He's not my boyfriend. He has his eye on another girl." She says "So what's this magic that you gave me?" 

"Just some basic dark magic. You can use dark energy to move things around with your mind. As long as it's a moveable item by one person. Bigger things like buildings and boulders are iffy and I don't think if you could move those I know you can't move anything heavier." He explains to her as she nods. 

"So the dark magic is an extension of my arms and strength but on amplified?" 

"Yes, that is the simplest terms you can put it in." He replies 

"Then what's all this?" She asks waving her hands around the wisps of dark energy fading when they lose contact with her body. 

"It's the dark energy inside of you taking on a physical form. as long as you can see that you can use the dark magic. It won't hurt you. The only thing I can think of it doing is making hard for you not to stare at your hands." He says placing a hand on her head. 

She looks at him then back at her hands as she slowly moves them around. She looks into the trees and points at a tree. Dark energy shoots from her finger and strikes the tree. It goes flying roots and all until it hits another tree and falls to the ground. 

"Holy shit that's cool." She whispers 

"Yes. Now, are we ready to go?" He asks 

"Only if you promise that Gale and his family will not get hurt. Along with the rest of Fairy Tail." She demands "I am only using this dark magic for good purposes. And also no more of that taking over my body thing. It's fucking weird." 

"Yes. No one from Fairy Tail shall be harmed. Especially the Redfoxes. Yes, it shall only be used for good intentions. And yes I promise unless it's to save your life I shall not take control of your body." He promises and he summons some sort of portal. 

She begins to step in it and I run towards her. 

"LUNA! DON'T YOU DARE." I scream at her 

She looks at me and raises her hand. I get sent flying back. I look up in time to see her give me a small smile mouth the words I love you and step into the portal.
