No magic? No problem

Chapter 14 ~Version 1~

~Gale POV~ 

"LUNA?!" I scream causing her to turn and wave at me. 

Someone slaps me but I really don't care. What the hell is she doing? The eight wizards meet their bystanders as Toma talks to Luna. She laughs and nods before going over to Storm. I watch carefully until each one of them starts disappearing first the wizards then the bystanders. The game appears on screen and the eight wizards each start running and all of them get caught except Alice and Storm who hid under boxes. Storm moves out but Luna catches him. 

 "Here is not where you want to be. So go back to where you're supposed to be." She says before throwing a little stone at him and he gets sent back to the spot where he began. 

Lily sets Luna down as she picks up the stone but it seems like something catches her eye because she slowly moves towards some garbage cans and reaches her hand out. Her lips move but we can't hear what she's saying. After a minute a small black and gray cat crawl out. I smile a little then the cat starts flying around Luna and she smiles and laughs. Lily picks her back up with the other cat follows them as they look for Storm again.

After the end of the game, Alice wins first then Strom, Weiss, Enno and Emma Snow tied, Roy, Ren, and finally Melody. 

"Alright now it's time for the battle portion of the games!" Toma says "The first battles will be one on one. The winner will receive 10 points will the loser receives none. If the battle ends in a tie or time runs out each team will receive 5 points each. Now the first battle will be Gale Redfox of Fairy Tail versus CJ Beckett of Broken Wings! Please make your way to the arena."

Layla pushes me when I don't move. I was too busy watching Natsu stares down Luna and her new exceed. I watch them both as I make my way down to the field. Finally, I take my gaze away from the stands to the field. My opponent CJ has a weird vibe to him and I can't place my finger on it. Toma starts to clock and the battle and CJ raises his hand.

"Dark Capriccio." He says and instantly a beam of darkness comes barreling at me. 

I dodge it and he does it a few more time using both his hands as he begins using them as a whip. He hits me with it a few times and I manage to hit him a few times with my iron dragon roar. He starts muttering something that I can't make out. Must be another language. He gets ready to hit me with another attack and I brace myself knowing I don't have any time to deflect it. 

"GALE MOVE!" Luna yells and I look over to the sound of her voice to see her right next to me.

"WHAT ARE YOU-" She cuts me off as she pushes me. I trip over my feet and CJ's attack hits her straight in her stomach. She screams in pain as a much darker attack hits her in the back. My eyes widen trying to grab her but something pushes me back. I charge at CJ anger blinding everything as I punch him over and over again until he finally stops attacking Luna. I look back over to her. Her eyes are blank and she falls to the ground. Everyone rushes to her but I'm the first to get there. I grab her by the shoulders and shake her. 

"WAKE UP! COME ON! LUNA!" I scream in her face. Luna doesn't even move. I can't hear her breath or her heart beat. 

Someone pulls me back and I struggle against them not letting go of Luna even when I'm pulled to my feet. Wendy and her daughter Aura. They both start with their healing magic and whoever was pulling me finally got my hands of Luna and she falls into Wendy's arm. Sherria and her son come out onto the field and they both start doing their healing magic. I'm dragged off the field and into a dark hallway. I turn around and look at the person who dragged me out getting ready to punch them until I see red eyes the same as mine.

"Dad? What the hell! Luna needs help and you're dragging me away!" I yell  shoving him away from me

"What the hell are ya suppose to do huh? Sit there and shake her til she died from brain trauma?" He yells back at me. "I know you love the girl son, but you have to remember she's no dragon and she's not as strong as other mages. She human. Her heart stopped. You can't do anything but let Wendy and all of them help her." 

Someone comes running in and throws their arms around dad and he hugs the person back. 

"Her heart is beating again. She won't wake up. They have to take her to porlyusica and her granddaughter." Mom says while holding back tears. "But some good news Gale you won the battle." 

"I'm going with them." I state before taking off. 

Once I make it out of the hall I see that everyone is gone except Lily who is waiting for me. She quickly grabs me and we start flying. 

"Why didn't you stop her from getting on the field?" I suddenly snap after a few moments of silence.

"You think I didn't? Even Natsu tried to stop her but she moved too fast for either of us. Faster than I have ever seen her move." She snaps 

"Sorry I just, I don't know. I just can't see her hurt. How could she be so stupid!" 

"She's just trying to protect the person she loves." She says dropping me off on the ground. 

I run into the house to see Luna laying in the middle of the floor. Her eyes are still blank and Pi leans over her working hard.

"What's wrong with her?" I ask 

"She's dead..."
