Prologue
She is walking down the aisle in a very slow pace. Tila ba dinadama niya ang bawat hakbang niya. O baka nabibigatan siya sa gown niya.
Her white dress defined her perfect curves. It was tailored just fine, conservative but elegant enough to make her the center of attraction. I couldn't see her face clearly behind the veil, but I was sure that my bride's beautiful.
I know, I knew her.
I slowly sighed when the realization hit me. Tangina, ikakasal na talaga ako. I'm turning a new leaf. Mag kakaroon na ako ng sariling pamilya. No more games and.. girls? Nah.
Umiling ako sa aking naisip.
I can almost hear the pumping in my chest. I'm nervous as fuck. Ilang ulit ko din itong pinag isipan. I'm completely aware that I'm being desperate. However, I also pity my bride.
I was sporting my blank face when our eyes met. Her lips parted. She stopped on her tracks. Confusion was evident on her face.
The questions were disregarded when the bride continued to walk, this time, in a much slower pace. It's as if ayaw niyang dumating sa altar.
She's probably crying. But I could care less.
She wasn't even looking at me when her father gave me her hand. "Ingatan mo siya hijo. She's our precious gem."
I gave her hand a light squeeze to cheer her up ngunit isang matalim na titig ang binigay niya sa akin dahil doon.
Tangina. It was harder to see her this close, almost breaking. Tangina talaga, sana lumabas na lang siya.
She was crying and even choked on her own words while we were exchanging vows. But I knew then that her words weren't meant for me.
Sayang. Ang ganda pero iyakin.
The crowd didn't seem to notice how heartbroken she is right now and how sorry I was. Her words sounded so sweet but I can almost taste her bitterness in my mouth.
I sighed.
"You can't do anything about it. You are married to me now."
The corner of my mouth turned up. I knew I was being an ass for talking back. Pero hindi ko rin naman mapigilan magsalita.
"I was bound to marry Jonathan, not you asshole!"
"You signed the marriage contract yourself. I didn't drag you into this." I said as a matter of fact. Bahagyang tumaas ang kilay ko.
"That's because.. because I was threatened by my father! You bastard!"
Namumula na siya sa sobrang galit. Her hands balled into fists. She's so damn furious.
Why is she blaming it all on me?
I shot her a piercing look to let her know that I'm serious this time.
"Mrs. Ibañez, stop calling me names. I'm your husband now. Don't push my button. You should at least respect me you know."
"No! This is all your fault! Alam kong may ginawa ka kaya ikawang napakasalan ko!"
I jolted at her remark. Grabe naman kung makasigaw ang babaeng ito. Hanep. Now I'm not even curious why my one hell of an asshole brother left her. She's fucking denial.
"You think I wanted this shit to happen? No honey. I didn't wish to marry you too."
I'm honestly close to frustration. But I tried to remain calm.
"And you think I'm going to believe in you?! I'm certain that you have something to do with this!"
I shook my head in amusement. This girl probably left her gray matters somewhere.
"Your supposed groom left you on your wedding day. But in order to save your ass from humiliation, I had to appear as your groom." I folded my arms over my chest.
"Hah! Should I be fucking thankful then?!"
Napangisi ako sa tanong niya.
"Of course honey. In exchange..." I paced toward her. She didn't flinch. I stopped when I was at least 3 inches away from her. I leaned down to whisper something on her ear.
"...you'll have to please me." I smiled playfully.
"What?! Fuck you!" Tinulak niya ako at tinalikuran.
Uh-oh. Wrong move Timothy.
I guess there will be no banging to do in my damned wedding night.
