"3...2...1...GO!" Christine announced. The two were at Sheila's house, in her room. Christine was behind the camera, while her friend was in front in a chair.
"Hi, everyone! My name is Sheila, but sometimes people call me 'S'. So..." Sheila paused. "Cut!" She shouted.
"What's wrong? It was going great!" Christine complemented.
"It was going awfully! I paused because I had to think of what to say next. Who am I kidding? I can't do this 'vlogger' stuff!" Sheila blurted out.
"S, this has been you dream for the last 4 years, ever since we were in 7th grade! You can do this! No one starts off perfect."
"I bet Dylan Samm did," Sheila stated. Dylan Samm was their idol. He was popular among every teenager. Each week he got over nine million views on his videos, and they were always the strangest. From trying out makeup to eating junk food at three in the morning. But every Friday was the girl's favorite video. It was Dylan Samm's famous "Creepy Theories". He would basically just explain theories that are, well, creepy. The girls love them because they really make you question things such as the government and celebrities.
"Well, I bet he didn't! Do you really want to go watch his first video from 2007?" Christine asked.
"Oh god no! I can not bear the cringe!" Sheila exclaimed with a laugh.
Christine replied with a laugh too. "Do you want to shoot some more?"
"Nah. We can do it tomorrow. You're going to have to get home soon. You know how your dad is."
"Yeah, you're right. What time is it anyways?" Christine asked.
"Almost 10 p.m."
"Shit! He's going to be so mad! Sorry, Sheila. I got to go." Christine announced as she packed up her black backpack and walked towards the door.
"It's fine. I'll go downstairs with you." S stated as she followed her friend down the hall and down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, Sheila's mom, Mrs. Lysotu, stood.
"You have to head home now, don't you?" She asked Christine.
"Yeah, or else my dad is going to be really mad."
"Well, be safe on your way home, and if you're late, tell your dad it's my fault." Mrs. Lysotu said. She turned around to grab a plate off the counter. She turned back around with it and held it out to Christine. "Want a brownie?"
"Sure! Thank you, Mrs. Lysotu!"
"You're welcome, sweetie."
"Can I have one, mom?" Sheila asked.
"...no."
Christine couldn't help but laugh a little at Shelia's mom's tone.
"Anyways, do you have that light on your bike we bought you?" Mrs. Lysotu asked.
"Yep. It works perfectly! Thank you again!"
"Oh, you don't have to thank us! Why doesn't your...." Sheila paused. She was about to swear, but her mom was in the room. "Dad care about your safety?"
"No one knows." Christine uttered. As she shoved the third brownie in her mouth, she walked outside towards her bike.
"Well, I will see you at school tomorrow!"
"Yep! And you know what tomorrow is!"
"Friday!" The two girls exclaimed.
"Who's turn is it to bring snacks?"
"I think either Max or Brody." Max and Brody are the friends who also love Dylan Samm. The four of them meet after school to watch the week's uploads.
"Kk! Well, see you tomorrow!" Christine concluded as she rode away on her black bike with blue stripes.
"See you tomorrow!" Sheila concluded as she shut the door.
Sheila walked back into the kitchen. "I hope she gets home in time."
"Me too." Her mom stated.
"So...can I have a brownie now please?" Sheila asked again politely.
"...no." Sheila's mom uttered sternly. "I'm just joking! You can have one, but I am putting four in your lunch tomorrow. One for you and your friends."
Sheila let out a small laugh as she grabbed one off the plate. "Thanks, mom!" She stated as she gave her a hug.
"You're welcome, sweetie. Now head off to bed." She stated.
"Okay!" Sheila stated with a little laugh. "Oh...and mom?"
"Yes?"
"You're such a cool mom!"
"I know! Now good night sweetie!" Sheila's mom smiled.
Once Sheila got upstairs, she whispered to herself, "and a savage mom, too." She laughed to herself again and went to bed.
Meanwhile, Christine is still on her bike, on her way home. She stopped for a minute to see what time it was. Her phone read 10:02. "Shit!" Christine said. She put her phone back in her pocket and began to ride off again. When she reached her driveway, it was 10:06.
She parked her bike right outside the garage and ran to the front door. She tried to open the door, but it was locked.
"Great. They locked me out again." Christine announced. This wasn't the first time they locked her out. She's an only child, so if she had siblings, she would ask them to let her in. But since she doesn't and her parents purposely do this to her, there is only one other option. To break in. Once again, this isn't the first time Christine had to do this. She went to the back yard and went on the deck. Her bedroom window was a few feet above the deck. She always leaves her bedroom window open, just in case stuff like this happens. She grabbed one of the chairs on the deck and pushed it towards the wall. She stepped up on the chair and grabbed the ledge of her windowsill. Then Christine lifted herself up through the window. Once she was in her room, she shut her window and threw her backpack on the ground. She changed into her pajamas, which was an oversized band t-shirt and some shorts, and went to bed.
