One week later, and it was all the same old stuff. Christine still received the same old crap from her parents, Max and Riley are still a thing, and Brody is still the same. But something exciting has happened to Sheila. A few days ago, she uploaded her first vlog, and today, Friday, after they finished watching all of Dylan's new videos, they were going to go back to Sheila's house to celebrate. At least, that was the plan...
The four teens met again outside their school, Ridgemore High like they do every day.
"You know what day it is?" Max excitedly asked as he parked his bike next to his friends'.
"Friday!!!" They all replied in unison.
"I brought only one bag of chips because we were going to party at my house afterward," Sheila said.
"Hell yeah we are, Ms.'Future Famous Vlogger Of All Time'!" Brody announced.
"What four blocks do you guys have today?" Christine asked them as they walked inside their school.
"I have History, French, English, and...." Max began to say but he was cut off by one person. Alan Fred.
"So, kid, how about you do my Geometry homework?" Alan stated has he threw Max his homework.
"Listen. I am tired of you bullying me and I am tired of you taking advantage of me. I am NOT doing your homework." Max yelled as he filled with rage. After being bullied by Alan for months, he finally had it with him.
"You go, Max!" Christine told him.
"Show that loser who's boss!" Sheila encouraged. They made him smile.
"Look, Max, I don't want to cause any trouble, again. If I was caught doing anything bad again, I would be expelled. Not like it's a bad thing. But I like going here and, of course, messing with you. So please, do me this one favor. Do my homework and I will let you off with a warning. K, kid?" Alan persuaded, but not very well.
"You say that bs every time, Alan," Brody said.
"Shut up, shorty! Are you going to do it or not?!?" Alan yelled out, starting to get angry. But before he could get too angry, a teacher came by to stop the fight. Teachers are blessings in disguises.
"Mr. Fred! Principal's office! Now!" The teacher instructed.
And with that command, Alan abruptly took his homework back from Max and headed to the office with the teacher.
"You're good, Max?" Christine asked.
"Yeah. I'm good. Let's head to class. We're going to be late." Max replied.
Then the four headed to their lockers, grabbed their things, and headed to their classes.
Soon, the three o'clock bell had ringed, signaling that the school day has come to a close. As soon as the majority of the kids left the building, which only took five minutes, the four teens grabbed their stuff and headed to their closet. Once they were inside they set up their garbage beanbags and Sheila setup the laptop on top of a bucket.
"Okay, you guys ready for this weeks vi....?" Sheila began to ask but was put into complete shock. As when Dylan's website finally loaded, all his pictures and videos have been taken down, except for one, titled "I Quit".
"Sheila? What were you about to ask..." Christine began to ask as she turned around and saw what was on the screen. Her eyes began to water. "Oh...my...God!"
"What?" The two boys asked in unison as they turned around.
"L-l-look!" Christine could barely respond as tears streamed down her and Sheila's faces.
"No...way..." Brody blurted out.
"This has to be a prank...right?" Max asked.
"Do you have the right web address?" Brody questioned.
"Maybe he is pranking us?" Max asked.
"If he was pranking us, he wouldn't go through with a prank like this. Also, I just checked I know for a fact this is the right website." Sheila answered.
"Let's watch the video. Maybe it will explain everything that is going on." Christine stated.
"I don't' know about that. The video is only a little over a minute." Sheila replied, staring at the website, still in shock.
"We might as well watch it," Max stated.
As he did, everyone got on their beanbag garbage bags and Sheila pressed play on the video.
Right off the bat, they could tell something was wrong. The background was a grayish-black wall, instead of the bright blue wall. Also, Dylan was wearing a hospital gown. "Maybe he was sick and dying, that's why he isn't coming back." That's what some of them thought. But they were wrong. There was something more sinister about this.
"Hello. My name is Dylan Samm." Dylan introduced himself. But it wasn't his voice. It was a robotic voice, almost like he was being controlled.
"What's wrong with him?" Christine cried.
"That's NOT my Dylan!" Max shouted.
"I am quitting making video on the internet. I am going to be gone for a long time and I not coming back. Goodbye everyone!" Then the last video from Dylan Samm ended.
For every Dylan Samm fan in the world, the word "shocked" would be an understatement to describe their reaction.
"Is Dylan dying?" Max asked.
"No. He would have told us. And if he was 'sick', that wouldn't explain everything on his website disappearing." Brody replied.
Christine headed over to the laptop to find some answers. But the wifi crashed.
"Wifi's down." She announced to her friends as she slammed the laptop shut. "We should pack up our stuff, head to S's house, and find some damn answers," Christine ordered with rage. All of her friends knew not to mess with her when she is like this. The followed her orders, cleaned up their things and headed to Sheila's house.
