"Uh, Sheila? We are four sixteen-year-olds. How in the world are we going to drive to his house, which is three hours away?" Brody asked.

"Well, first we need a car," Sheila stated.

"I have an idea," Max announced but paused. "Christine, you need to steal your parent's car."

"Are you serious, Max? They will kill me!" Christine exclaimed.

"Only if they find out." Max paused. "And I know a guy who can get you new license plate so the car can't be tracked. Besides, he owes me."

"Max, there is absolutely no way. I can't steal their car. And if this guy 'owes' you, why can't he get us a car?"

"He has license plates, not cars....also dog food, but that's not important right now. Please, Christine? You're the only person here with a license because we can't pass the dang test." Max spoke as he pointed to himself, Sheila, and Brody. "If you tell your parents that you are borrowing the car...," Max stated but was cut off.

"There is no way I am getting the car. End of the discussion."

"Fine. But if you won't, I will." Max concluded as he walked out of the room, left the house, and walked a few blocks to Christine's house.

"Max!" Sheila shouted as she ran out of the room after him. Christine and Brody followed.

Soon, they were all in Christine's driveway. Max waited on the porch for all of them to show up.

"I knew you guys would eventually arrive. So, Christine. Where are the keys?" Max asked.

"My dad always has them." She replied.

"So, why don't you go ask him for them?"

"He would say no. He always says no."

"Then why don't you just take them. I peeked through the window and he's asleep on the couch...I think. Just go in there, get them, and then we will be on our way!" Max announced.

"Come on, Christine? It's a pretty good plan." Brody stated.

"It's too risky guys," Christine replied.

"But don't you want to leave? I mean they treat you like trash. The least you could do in return is yell at him and take the keys." Brody stated.

"True..." Christine stated.

"That would be kind of cool to watch..." Sheila said.

"Okay. fine. I'll do it. But when I come back outside, be ready to get in the car and go."

"Good plan. Then we will go to Max's house afterward, since he doesn't know where you live, and I will call my mom, let her know everything is fine, and then call the 'friend' of yours, Max." Sheila announced.

"Now that the plan is set, now it's time to put it into action," Brody exclaimed.

"Bye guys. If I am not out in 30, come and get me." Christine stated as she entered her house.

She walked down the hallway and into the kitchen. She looked in the family room and saw her dad asleep on the couch like Max said. Luckily, right next to the couch on the table, was the car keys. Christine walked into the family room quietly and grabbed the keys.

Right when she was about to leave the living room....

"Where do you think you're going?" he dad stated. He wasn't asleep. He was playing the old 'i'm resting my eyes' card.

"I need the car. Someone needs my help." Christine stated with no emotion.

"No, you're not. Give me back my keys."
