Ruby's pov
I've never been scared to get out of bed but there's a first for everything. Isn't everything going to be awkward? I just layed there. But i needed to use the restroom . i got up and walked to the restroom. The halls were cold. My socks kept my pale feet warm. I opened the door and walked in and closed the door. After i was done i washed my hands and dried them on a towel. I looked in the mirror my brown hair was messy. My blue eyes were a little pink because i just woke up.
I got this itchy sensation on my arm so i pulled up sleeve and my fairly new cuts were drying up into scabs. I lightly scratched them. I winced because my finger nails got caught on a scab making it peel and start to bleed. The door was slammed open. Before i had time to close the dodooor roll down my sleeve "oh shit my bad!" ethan looked at me then my arm and walked out.
Great now he knows. They both know.
I sighed and rolled down my sleeve. I turned off the lights and walked out. I went back to my room. I sat at the end of the bed. Gosh ruby didn't you learn how to lock a door?? I pulled my hair in frustration. I got up and went through my bag i pulled out a brown cardigan and a simple white dress and white socks. I will be wearing my low buckle shoes. I walked back out and grabbed a towel from the hallway.
I opened the door again and locked it this time. I started to cry a little. What is he thinking? Is he going to tell the whole school? He's probably gonna make fun of me for it. I started to choke on my sobs. I wiped my nose and sniffled. I removed my clothes.
The bruises had gone away but you can stiil see them. I started the shower with some warm water.. I looked down at my wrist and for some reason i didn't feel satisfied. I looked through their bathroom and found a men's razor. I snapped it and removed the blade. I brought it up against my skin. I pushed down adding pressure at this point i was use to the pain that it didn't even feel like pain i was distracted by other things.
I kept moving it along different parts of my arm . drops of blood began to fall. Some seeking out of fairly opened wounds. Once i felt some what satisfied I cleaned the blade and placed it on my towel. I stepped into the tub and stood there letting the water fall over me. My arms were next to my thighs so blood mixed with water flowed down my legs to the drain.
I ran my fingers through my hair and shampooed it. After i rinsed it off i scrubbed my hair with conditioner. I let it sit in. There was a knock on the door. I stood quite . the doorknob jiggled. I quickly rinsed out my hair and shut off the water. I grabbed towel and wrapped it around me. Someone knocked on the door again.
"Hold on please" my eyes widened even my own voice scared me. It was raspy and sounded like I've been crying for ages. I quicky put on my undergarments and slipped on my dress. I put my cardigan on and gathered my clothes from the floor. I had my hair wrapped in the towel.
I opened the door and saw grayson standing there. With his towel and clothes in his arms. I walked past him and walked in to my room. I sat on the bed and put on my socks. I removed the towel from my hair and ran my hands through it. I picked up my shoes and put them on.i tightned the buckle as there was a knock on the door and lisa opened the door smiling."good morning ruby breakfast is ready so when your ready you can come downstairs to eat" i smiled and said"yeah ok let me just txt my mommy good morning first"
"Yes ofcourse. She was walking out but turned back and said "you know ruby you're a really good kid " i smiled "thankyou Mrs dolan"she nodded her head and walked out. I brushed my hair and let it down to air dry. I sent a quick text to my mommy.
I walked downstairs and made my way over to the table.i sat down and sean was sitting down reading a news paper. "Here you go ruby i hope you still love oatmeal from when you were a kid"she placed a bowl infront of me. I smiled and nodded my head " i still do and thankyou" she nodded her head" ethan! Grayson! Come downstairs to eat!"she called out for them.
