Ruby's pov
I woke up and i had a feeling today was going to be good. I got up and opened the doors to my balcony. The sun was out and bright. Good something for a change lately its been just cloudy. I put some random record on and jammed out to it. I walked over to my closet and picked out some shorts with a smiths tee i of course wore my fave black shoes with them. I don't even think not a single girl in my school has some like mine. All their in to is thoses typical white converse. Some people gave me disgusting comments on how its not lady like. But i didn't listen to them.
I put a belt on because i wouldn't want them to fall plus it pulls the style quite nice. For my hair i did space buns. I put on my foundation and fixed my eyebrows. I searched through my bathroom drawers and found my red lipstick. I applied it and called it a look. I grabbed my leather black back pack. Kids label me sometimes as beimg emo but its not necessarily true.i just think there's no such thing as having too much black. I. Put the record away and grabbed my super cool sun glasses. I walked down stairs and ran into my mom.
"Hi mommy!" she smiled and took a sip of her coffee.hm no work today good she needs a break. "Morning rue-bear"i smiled she always called me that. "Oh and here i know you didn't want one but i need to contact you just in case"i took the phone from her hands. "I already put my name in your contacts and have a great day"she walked down the hallway back into her room."thanks" i walked down the stairs and out the door.i opened the box and unlocked my phone.i set my new one and its crazy how it reads my finger print but its what evs. I immediately started making myself a playlist of my favorite music. I took out the white headphones in the box and plugged them in. I started to listen to panic at the disco. I haven't listen to them in a while. I started to hum along with the music and slipped my phone in my back pocket and put the box in my back pack. Its really weird to say my phone.
I stopped and waited for the bus. I put my sunglasses on and started setting up phone.
Skip after bus ride
For some reason the bus showed up late so when we got here the bell rang. I walked into my first period and sat in my seat. I put my phone away and took out my binder and laptop. Everybody entered the class shortly including the twins. I smiled at grayson and he almost smiled but looked away rolling his eyes. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. Did i do something? Any ways i turned my attention back towards the board and payed attention to the lesson. 50 minutes later the bell rang.
"Hey are you going to come over after school to work on the project?"i asked him. He was still packing his stuff. He slung his back pack over his back. And spoke up. "Why don't you work on the rest i have something important after school and I'll share the document with you"he walked away leaving me with no choice.
Lunch time
I opened the doors to the cafeteria and walked in and bought a sandwhich with sun chips and a apple. I already had a water in my backpack. I walked back out and sat on a bench with a tree over it. Nobody sits over here anyways so perfect for me i sat down and sat criss crossed. I took out my phone and played some music. I had my headphones on so no one would bother me its not like anyone would anyways. I opened my sand which and started to eat it while occasionally eating some sun chips. I was enjoying my lunch until the twins and some of their crowd now stood infront of me i quickly put my phone in my back pocket.
It was grayson,ethan, alex, jake,some school slut and another girl. I put down my food and said"can i help you guys?" i said calmly. "Get her "one of the girls said. I took my bag and tried to run but alex and jake grabbed me. No one could see us from here. Both of them held one of my arms. Great. This happens some times. I sighed knowing the routine. I didn't even bother moving too much it just ment a tighter grip and i would have to hide my bruises on my arms and other ones.
The red headed girl first slapped me and kneed my stomach.i gasped for air and let out coughs my cheek was stinging considering she had that same mood ring. My head hanged low. Some snikers came from the boys along with laughter.she pulled my hair back and made me wince in pain. "Listen freak why don't you do us a favor and die and not fail like the first time." she spitted on my shoes and slapped me one more time. I was panting with anger and the fact my stomach hurt like hell. The second girl came up she had black hair. God she reeeked of cigarette. She punched my stomach twice and slapped my face. "Come on she's not worth our time " ethan said.
The boys dropped me and i fell on my knees. I caughed up some blood and i got kicked on my side by jake. They all laughed and started walking away. I layed on my side curled up in a ball. I looked up and locked eyes with grayson. He looked up and down at me then turned back walking with his crew. I got up and groaned in pain. I wipped the corner of my mouth. I threw away my food and headed to the restrooms to clean myself up.
After school ended i decided to walk home i didn't want to see the twins on the bus. I was lucky my phone didn't crack. My mom txted me why i wasn't home yet. I told her i missed the bus and that i was walking home. She said ok and to be safe. It doesn't make sense i did nothing to them and me and gray were fine yesterday why all of a sudden back to his old ways. I walked up my drive way when i heard the boys excitedly rant over about thier jeeps that there father apparently had just bought them.
Their so spoiled. They don't even work for the most fortunate things they have in life. I walked inside my house and my mom was on the phone with some one in the kitchen so i ran upstairs so she wouldn't see me. I walked in my room and locked it i needed to change and cover up just in case i have bruises. I pulled out some leggings and a knit sweater.
Graysons pov
I was soo happy that i finally had gotten my new car. I walked up to my room and closed my door i looked out my room and saw ruby about to change i know i should look away but i couldn't plus i never saw her like that. She slipped her shirt off amd unzipped her shorts. "O my god "i said to myself her body had bruises on them she was pale and fragile. Her ribcage was painted with purple probably when jake kicked her. And bruises on her stomach from the girls. I couldn't look at them any longer they're were soo nasty looking. I know i should have said something but i didn't. I looked back up and she was changed.
She sat on her bed looking out the window she saw me looking at her. She got up and slammed her doors shut. I let out a sigh. I got up and went back downstairs. I walked into the kitchen seeing my mom there. She was always busy with her work just like my father always on buisness meetings or trips that don't invlove me or ethan. "Hey mom""not now i need to make an important call"she walked out. Like always. I sighed and walked back upstairs. The least i can do is work on the project.
