"Becareful gray" i looked at him as he was squatted over by the fire and was moving the wood in the fire place. He turned his head around "I'll be fine rubs you worry too much, just calm those thoughts" he smiled and went back to fixing it with the black iron stick. He was right but i get it from my mother i always worry about something. I walked back into the kitchen stirring the hot cocoa in the little tea pot. It smelled so good and very sweet. Im not one to have a sweet tooth but i am down for some hot cocoa especially when its by a warm fire.
I heard grayson walk into the kitchen and he stood beside me and grabbed two mugs in the top cabinet. I kept humming some sort of tune that was stuck in my head. "Shada de da dum" i said then hummed. "You wanna listen to some music?" he asked. I looked over at him and smiled "yeah" "you got it"as he hollered as he walked back into the living room i couldn't help but laugh. I turned off the burner and poured us both our hot cocoa. I carefully walked back over to the living room and saw he was by the fire standing up and played music on the t.v. through his phone.

I smiled and sat down on the floor close by the fire and he sat down next to me. "Wait for it"he said as he put on finger in the air. Then i heard the song play. To be exact the one i played when he first came over to my house for the project. Ballrooms of mars by t.rex. he smiled and i looked over at him and i smiled"ahh so my musical influences rubbed off on yah?"
"Pfft yeah right" he said sarcastically. I took a sip of my hot cocoa but my jean jacket was bothering me. I put my mug down and stood up "im a change into some pjs" he nodded his head while drinking his cocoa. I walked back to the bedroom and went through my bag. I slipped off my jeans and put them in my bag. I put on some red plaid sweatpants and i took off the jacket and kept the shirt i was wearing. I removed my shoes and and walked back out. Preferably with gliding against the wood floors since i had on socks.
I walked back into the living room and sat back down. I grabbed my mug letting it warm up my cold hands. "So um how bout we get to know each other more by playing 20 questions" he said. I shrugged my shoulders "sure" i sat up more straight.
"Ok um favorite ice cream flavor?" he asked. "Chocolate chip mint" i said.
"What's your favorite color?" i asked "green" (guys i actually dont know).
"Favorite school activity?" he looked at me then took a sip from his mug. "I don't know never really joined in anything but i do like chemistry" he smiled and licked his lips. "Favorite book?" i asked. He sat there and thought about it. "Don't have one in mind but maybe when we get back home you'll recommend me one from your shelfs?" i nodded my head happily"i would love too".
"What's your favorite t.v show?" he leaned back his hands on the ground and he crossed his legs. "I love lucy" i smiled thinking of the marathons me and my mom had on the couch watching that show . "cool um what do you want to be when we get out of high school?"
"I don't know I've never put much thought into that,i know ethans gonna want to leave and travel" he looked down then at me. "What about you?" i bit the edge of my bottom lip. "Teacher i want to work with kids" i smiled at the thought of me being a kinder garten teacher. "That's cool um have you ever been to a party?" i nodded my head no. I wouldn't want to go to a place where people grind on each other and smoke and drink. It's not like they would invite me anyways.
He looked a little shocked. "What thats like saying you've never been to a school dance" i bit my lip and slowly nodded again my head no. His jaw dropped opened. Play song
"No way rubs,how come?"
I shrugged my shoulders and looked down. "Never been asked i guess" he stood up . "watcha doing?" i asked as he held his hand out for mine. "Dance with me you dork" he said in a funny mocking tone. I put down my mug and stood up. He gently grabbed my hands and wrapped them around his neck and he placed his hands on my lower back.
I looked down at our feet. "Now what?" i asked but it came out as a whisper i was nervous. He huffed a little as a luagh and said "move your feet side to side just follow me" "O-ok" i looked down as he would move a little to the side then back then up again then back to where we started.
I was starting to get the hang of it. I looked up at him and he looked down at me. I couldn't help but get lost in his beautiful hazel eyes. I snapped out of my stare when i accidentally stepped on his right foot. He winced a little and ran his fingers through his hair which made me flinch i thought he was going to hit me. I shut my eyes bracing myself but he softly spoke "ruby?" i opened my eyes
"Sorry i-iuh thought you were going " he held me and swayed us back and forth. I kept my head on his chest and followed along to his heart beat. "Im not going to hurt you anymore ruby" i smiled but who knows if he's just saying it. I want to believe him but the. Past is ruining it for me. I just said " thank you" i don't know why but i did. I countinued to listen to the song and closed my eyes in contentment. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else at the moment then here. "Consider this as your first dance rubs" i couldn't help but blush and nod my head.
He pulled away and he twirled me and brought me back into his chest. I looked up at him and he held my right hand and his left one on my back and i put my left hand on his shoulder. He reached down and i met him half way. He pushed his soft lips against mine. We stopped moving and held each other into the kiss. So many feelings where running through me. I pulled away softly for air. And went back to kissing him. I tilted my head to the side and he licked my bottom lip. I don't know why but i continued to kiss him.
He pulled away and rested his forehead on mines. "Ruby?" "yeah?" im glad you came with me on this trip"
"Me too"i said. We both continued to dance and i was getting tired and let out a yawn. "Lets go to bed yeah?" he said. I yawned and nodded my head yes. (You can stop song or just listen to it) We both picked up our mugs and placed them in the sink. I walked into the room and put our bags on the little couch thingy at the end of the bed.

He walked in and helped me move the blankets so that we can get underneath. I know its a little wierd to sleep in the same bed but i know nothings going to happen.
I got in bed and looked at grayson who turned on the fire and stood back up and removed his shirt. He was very muscular but i had to look away i layed down on my side facing the Windows. I felt the bed dip and the blankets move. He wrapped his arms around me and cuddled close to me. I let out a huff through my nose in content and snuggled closer to him. His head was by my ear. "Goodnigjt rubs"he pressed a kiss on my cheek. "Goodnight gray".
Honestly what was i getting my self into? This isn't right. I know he's never going to want to date me. But i guess ill enjoy him for now.
