The broken regalia {Yukine x reader}

Chapter 5

"Wake up." I faintly heard Nora say 'sweetly'. My eyes sot open when I saw what was in front of me. It was a table, with an assortment of different knives on it. "I know I promised to play nicely to father, but I just don't get how he chose you over me." She spat with jealousy towards me.

"Why are you so jealous of me. Is it because Yato doesn't pay attention to you anymore?" I decided to play the smart-ass card, which I shouldn't have. After that comment, her accomplice cut me with one of the blades he held. I yelped in pain and the more I yelled and screamed, the more pain I felt.

*3rd Person POV*

"Where is she, she wasn't here when I tried waking her up," Yukine explained to a very stressed out Yato. "Hiyori, can you go get Kofuku and Daikoku. I think I know where y/n is." Yato assumed. "Where?" Yukine shook Yato anxiously for an answer. "I think Nora got her, somehow," Yato said mid-thought.

'if Nora hurt y/n, I will kill her' Yukine thought as he and Yato waited for everyone else.

A few minutes later, Hiyori came back with Kofuku and Daikoku. "Now that we're all here, let's go." Yato turned around and started walking off.

"Where exactly are we going," Hiyori asked. "Just trust me okay," Yato replied with a hint of anger.

*Your POV*

The room went silent and I lifted my head up. I could almost see the place I was in clearly. It looked like an old warehouse, it was empty despite its size.

I heard murmurs from outside before I heard a slam, I quickly put my head back down. I didn't notice who entered until I heard a few voices.

"y/n!" It was Yukine. How did they get here? My head shot up from the ground and looked into his amber eyes. "H-how did you find me?" I asked shakily. Before he could answer Nora and the other guy threw Yukine away from me and into Yato. I saw that Kofuku and Daikoku were also here with Yato.

"Nora, I knew you took her." Yato spat. "I just did it so that she can see who you really are." She calmly answered. "Come Sekki!" Yato yelled and a sword appeared in his hand.

He held the blade to Nora's neck as the other guy just stood there not knowing what to do. In a moment he quickly ran to the chair I was in and held me up by my hair. I squealed in pain as Kofuku and Daikoku ran up to him. "Put y/n down, now!" The two of them yelled.

"I've heard of you, you're the god of misfortune aren't you?" He asked the pink haired god. "Well, that's good. So you already know who I am, that means you know what my regalia here can do too right?" She stated sarcastically.

I could feel him freeze for a second before he put me down. The man then attempted to fight the two, but obviously failed to do so. Yato still had the sword held against Nora's throat, who had a pleased smile on her face.

"You wouldn't actually kill a regalia with another, right Yato?" She said smugly as Yato drew Yukine away from her to revert him back to normal. She disappeared behind the two and I assumed that she was gone, but I was wrong.

She came up from behind me and put a hand on my shoulder. "What are you doing?" I asked her. "I would hate for your little soul to leave when it hasn't been tortured enough." She whispered in my ear, sending shivers down my spine.

"Just know that this is not over yet y/n." I heard her before the pressure on my shoulder disappeared. Yukine rushed to me and Yato untied me. After the rope was untied, I quickly hugged Yukine without realising that tears were streaming down my face.

"Thank you guys for finding me," I said and released a blushing Yukine. Hiyori ran into the warehouse and jumped on top of me. "I'm so glad you're okay, I was worried sick." Hiyori squealed. "Hey! that's my line!" Yato yelled.

I laughed as Kofuku and Daikoku joined in on the hug. After our moment we walked away from the warehouse. "How did you know where I was Yato?" I asked him. "Don't worry about it, at least I know that Nora didn't hurt you." He avoided the question. I looked at my hand and stared at the deep cut on it.

"Oh, so she did hurt you," Hiyori whispered to me. "Yeah, just don't tell them. I've already caused enough trouble today." I whispered back to her. She only nodded in response as we walked to Kofuku's shrine.

~Timeskip~

After a while, Yato was really drunk and Kofuku was abusing Hiyori like what she did to me. Yukine and I just started talking to Daikoku about regalia stuff. "oh I know, how about the three of you stay here for a bit." Kofuku released Hiyori and sprung into a new conversation.

"You don't have to do that, really," I answered but someone quickly reversed what I said. "Thank you Kofuku, you are the best girlfriend ever." He said gratefully. I only rolled my eyes at Yato and looked at Yukine for an answer.

"Well, if you guys are okay with it." He simply said. "Then that's settled, we'll be staying here instead of at Hiyori's," Yato yelled.
