Chapter 13

*still Yato's POV*

When we got into the shrine I looked back and saw (y/n) passed out and Yukine was holding her up. Kofuku walked in and asked about the job. "We ran into Bishamon but we got away." I sighed and pointed behind me .

I heard Kofuku quietly squeal, "They are so cute!!" She whispered into my ear. It was obvious that Yukine heard her because he was blushing as he walked passed us and upstairs.

"I'm glad that he's not blighting me anymore." I said as I got a beer out of the fridge. "yeah me too. But I'm worried about y/n. She's been having nightmares and she looks scared about something." Kofuku informed me. "It could have been what happened in her life as a human,"I explained, deep in thought.

After I talked to Kofuku about y/n, I headed upstairs to see Yukine and y/n sleeping next to each other. I walked over to the window and rested on it. 'Nora, exactly what are you planning this time'.

~morning~

*y/n's POV*

I woke up and felt something on me. I opened my eyes and lifted my head lightly to see Yukine asleep next to me. I felt a blush creep upon my face as I smiled to myself and poked his cheek. "Yukine, wake up," I whispered to him.

He only moved closer to me, not wanting to get up. I giggled and let out a sigh. "Come on, we need to get up. Yato might want to stalk Hiyori while she's at school." I said quietly. He laughed and pulled his head up.

"Yeah, we won't want to miss that." He said sarcastically. 

I stood up and watched Yukine droop back onto the floor. I laughed to myself and walked into the bathroom holding some clothes to change into. I took a quick shower and got changed.

I walked out of the bathroom to see that Yukine wasn't in the room. He must have gone to get something to eat. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen.

Yukine was in there as I suspected. He was making pancakes when he saw me and smiled. "Where's Kofuku and Daikoku?" I asked him and smelled the pancakes. I smiled at how good they smelt.

"They're probably at one of those meetings the seven gods of fortune go to." He explained. I nodded and sat at the table. "Guess we'll be taking care of the shrine today." I sighed.

I stretched my arms and when I looked down I saw a plate of pancakes in front of me. "Thanks," I said happily and started eating them. Yukine sat across from me and chuckled when he saw me stuffing my face with the pancakes.

I saw Yato walk down the stairs with a small grin on his face. I shook it off and got up to put my plate in the kitchen.

~Timeskip~

The day mainly consisted of cleaning up the shrine and yelling at Yato for getting in the way. Once we finished we were just laying on the floor. I think we were too worn out to move a muscle. Yukine's head was resting on my stomach and I was playing with his blonde, fluffy hair.

Yato was off doing a job for someone and he let us stay here to finish. Kofuku and Diakoku must have finished the meeting because they walked in to see us laying there. "Hey Kofuku, how was the meeting?" I asked her. She only smiled and commented on how cute we looked. Not really an answer to my question, but I just went with it.

"You didn't need to clean up around here," Daikoku said and sat down near us. "It's the least we could do, you are letting us stay here for a bit," Yukine said sleepily.

We all noticed that Yato didn't come back after a few hours. "Where could he be?" I asked Yukine. "Yato sometimes leaves for long periods of time. I wouldn't worry about it." Kofuku explained.

I moved Yukine's head and stood up. "you know, that will only make me worry more. I think I'll go to sleep now" I sighed and walked up to the room. Not long after I was laying in bed, Yukine walked in and sat at the end of the bed, thinking I was asleep.

My eyes were opened slightly with my hair covering them. I watched as Yukine stared at me with a big smile on his face. I felt a blush on my face as I pretended to sleep.

We were basically staring at each other until I saw a figure walking up behind him. I didn't do anything until I saw her, Mio, standing behind Yukine, holding a huge shard of glass. Yukine didn't seem to see anything, but I did.

I sprang from the bed and pushed Yukine out of the way. I panted out of the sudden action and checked to see if Yukine was alright. Before I turned my head to his direction I felt a strong pain in my stomach.

I fell to the ground and looked down to see blood everywhere, along with a smiling Mio. "H-how, you're dead?" I groaned and felt myself being pulled up. It was Yukine. "y/n! What happened!" He shouted in worry.

I couldn't respond as I felt the world surrounding me grow dark.

*Yukine's POV*

I ran over to y/n and saw that she was bleeding from her stomach. How did this happen? I heard her mutter something under her breath but I didn't clearly hear it. I quickly held her bridal-style and ran downstairs to Kofuku and Daikoku.

"What happened to y/n?" they both yelled in unison. "I have no idea. One second she was sleeping and the next she was panicking and on the floor." I yelled in panic. I have no idea what's happening to her. First Yato disappears and now my girlfriend got stabbed. I could see Kofuku bring out a first aid kit and I walked over to both Kofuku and y/n. "can you see the shard of glass in her side, we're going to have to pull that out." Kofuku instructed.

I looked down at y/n and saw the shard of glass poking at her side. I hesitated before I gasped it and slowly pulled it out of her side. I watched as y/n's face quickly changed into one of pain.

Once it was out I pulled her shirt up slightly to see the wound. Daikoku moved me aside to see what he could do to fix the wound. He and Kofuku cleaned the wound and put bandages around her waist. She looked a bit uneasy and in a lot of pain, we carefully placed her back into bed for her to rest.

I didn't leave her side all night and fell asleep next to her.
