The broken regalia {Yukine x reader}

Chapter 12

After we had breakfast, Yato ran in all excited. "Good news, we have a job!" he cheered and teleported us instantly to an alleyway.

"What's the job?" I asked Yato. "Tenjin asked me to do some phantom slaying in this area, a storm seems to be approaching." He explained and looked at us.

"So, we just walk around and kill phantoms all day?" Yukine said sarcastically. Yato looked back to him and gave him a harsh glare. "How do you expect us to get a shrine without doing any jobs." He said, slightly mocking Yukine's sarcastic tone.

I laughed a bit at the scene and split the two up. "How about we just get started looking for phantoms". We started walking down the alleyway, even though there is a huge storm coming, there aren't any huge phantoms.

After about an hour or so, we came across a huge phantom in a field. Yato started to run up to it and called for Sekki. I stood back and admired how precise the cut through the phantom was. When Yukine reverted I ran up to them.

"That was amazing!" I cheered. Yukine held a small blush on his cheeks as we walked away from the field and onto the next phantom location.

The rest of the day was basically just cutting and shooting phantoms throughout the city. On some occasions, there would be huge phantoms lingering on people. Yato was walking ahead of Yukine and me, who were talking about how badly Yato was treated by Tenjin. It was actually quite funny that even Gods had a social structure.

We kept talking and didn't notice Yato stopped walking. I bumped into Yato and looked up at him. "Why did you stop walking?" I rubbed my head and stepped back. He only shushed me and looked around.

"What's wrong with you," Yukine said to Yato. Yato started acting crazy. Please don't tell me that.......Yep. As soon as I thought that a huge whip came crashing down between me and Yukine.

"Again! When will this crazy bitch stop!" Yato yelled. Once again, Bishamon found us. It wasn't much of a problem for me, I actually liked Bishamon, besides the fact that she tries to kill Yato whenever she can but, I sort of understand. I mean, when you have been around Yato a lot, you just want to kill him.

Anyways, back to what's happening. Yato quickly jumped up and yelled, " Come, Mikki!" As usual, I transported to the familiar white room. I've never actually gone up against Bishamon in my regalia form, I'm always at the shrine when Yato and Yukine go out and run into Bishamon.

"y/n, Bishamon's regalia are extremely powerful. I need you to be focussed on where I am and help me out as much as you can." Yato instructed. I understood and cleared my mind so I could stay focused on the task at hand. "Got it" I answered, full of determination.

*Yukine's POV*

y/n transformed into her regalia form, a huge bow and arrow, glowing with blue and pink. The sight was mesmerising to look at. I looked over to Bishamon who was talking to Kazuma, probably about her game plan. I focussed on y/n and Yato, who looked like he was going to attack.

Just at that moment he jumped up and drew the string on the bow back, giving the arrow a fast release when he lets go. Yato focussed on the aim as he balanced on top of a bin. He released the arrow from the string.

It flew into the air fast as small streams of blue and pink flew into the air behind it. I went exactly where Yato was aiming, Bishamon's shoulder. Just as it almost hit her she blocked it quickly and summoned one of her guns out.

She shot at Yato a few times and he blocked the hits with (y/n). I could only watch as the fight continued, I was following where Yato lead Bishamon. I think this is one of the closest fights between them, it seems as if Bishamon isn't focussing much on the fight at hand.

They both stopped and caught their breath. "Come, Sekki!" I heard Yato call for me.

I teleported into the white room where I saw y/n. I ran up to her and hugged her out of instinct. "Hey, did you see the fight?" She asked me. I nodded and heard Yato talk about a strategy to get Bishamon away.

*Yato's POV*

I talked the plan over with y/n and Yukine and we took it into action. "Yato, how can you fight with a bow and arrow and a sword!" She yelled at me. I only smirk and align the blade onto the bow. I quickly pull it back and aim carefully. "Yato, I've got a clear aim for the arm holding the gun, when you're ready." y/n confirmed with me.

In the blink of an eye, I released Yukine and he collided with Bishamon's gun. While she was distracted with her regalia, I quickly called Yukine back and ran to the shrine. 'that was close'.

when Bishamon was out of range I reverted y/n and Yukine back and we made our way back to the shrine. "That was one of the best fights ever!" Yukine exclaimed happily.

"Yeah, that was a great fight, but I'm exhausted." y/n sighed almost falling over in exhaustion. Yukine caught her and held her up as we got to the shrine entrance.
