The broken regalia {Yukine x reader}

Chapter 10

I couldn't....think. All I could do was cry, for no reason.

I could feel and hear Yukine shaking me around and saying my name. "I'm sorry, I really am." I cried onto Yukine's shoulder, not knowing what else to do.

*3rd Person POV*

Yukine just sat there with y/n held close to him, scared that if he spoke, she would break down even more than she already had.

Y/n kept sobbing in Yukine's arms until nightfall, she fell asleep. Yukine slowly noticed the h/c haired girl fall limp in a deep sleep and carried her back to the shrine.

"Where the hell were you two, you better not have been doing what I think you were you pervert!" Yato yelled, obviously drunk. Yukine just ignored it and carried y/n up the stairs.

When he reached the room and got to her bed he placed her down softly. As soon as he stood back up, y/n pulled him back down. "Please, don't leave, Yukine." She whispered unconsciously. He did nothing about it. While blushing madly, Yukine stayed at y/n's side all night.

*Your POV*

I woke up in my bed. I don't remember anything from yesterday but crying and yelling at Yukine. I turned around and saw blonde locks of hair in my face. I was startled at first but then I realised that it was Yukine. I smiled to myself and sat up. Yukine seemed to be in a deep sleep so I got up out of the room and headed to the kitchen.

I saw Kofuku sitting at the table on my way to the kitchen, she was smiling at something on her phone. I continued to the kitchen, grabbed an apple and walked up to Kofuku." what are you smiling at?" I asked her. Se had a mischievous smile on hrs faces she raised her phone to meet my eyes.

I stared at the picture that was displayed on the screen in complete embarrassment. It was when me and Yukine accidentally kissed in the cafe. I tried to take the phone away from the devil itself to delete it but, to no avail. "H-how did you get that in the first place?" I said while nervously biting down into the apple.

"Yato sent it to me." She said with an evil laugh. I. Sat back down in defeat as I sunk into the reality of the situation. "Fine, you win. What do you want to do with that picture anyway?" I asked her. She just smiled and avoid the question. We just sat there awkwardly for a bit before I decided to speak up, "I think I'll stay here and help out around the shrine today." I sighed and relaxed a little.

I heard footsteps coming from upstairs, followed by Yato and Yukine appearing in front of us. "Hey, guys." I greeted them. Yukine smiled at me, causing me to blush lightly and Yato just smiled at Kofuku as they exchanged glares. "We're going to hang out with Hiyori today, even though she has school today, we can still mess with her." He giggled. "Sorry, I'll be helping Kofuku out around the shrine today," I admitted. I also don't want to be there when Hiyori beats the crap out of them. I quietly laughed at the thought.

"Ok y/n let's get started." Kofuku dragged me outside to start watering the bonsai trees. "Where's Daikoku today?" I asked her, I haven't seen him all day. "He went out to talk to some other regalia about phantoms and stuff." She answered as she spilt water everywhere.

Soon, Yato and Yukine left to annoy Hiyori nod Kofuku and continued to clean the house. I was doing some dishes when Daikoku came back. "Welcome home. How was the talk with the regalia?" I asked him as he fell into the chair exhausted. "We didn't talk about anything serious, only where lots of phantoms have been spotted." He responded.

Once Kofuku and I finished, we relaxed for a bit until we heard Hiyori yelling. "Daikoku, Kofuku, y/n someone help!" I immediately ran out there, only to be blocked which a border.

I opened my eyes and saw Yukine on the ground, covered in blights.  "Yukine!" I called out to him. He didn't respond. "Daikoku, drop this border Now! They need our help!" I yelled at him. "Do you want to get infected? I can't do that." He answered.

"Wait, let Hiyori in, she only has small blights," Kofuku said. Daikoku proceeded to drop the border slightly to let Hiyori in. "What happened?" I asked her as I brought her to the bathroom and Kofuku got the water ready. Hiyori explained what happened at the school.

When we go out of the shrine I saw Daikoku standing with one of Tenjin's regalia. "We need one more regalia to hold an ablution," Daikoku said. "I'll do it!" I ran up to him."You can't, you're not strong enough" He said.

"I know who to get" Hiyori ran off somewhere to get another Regalia. I kept staring at Yato and back at Yukine. They're both on the verge of dying at any moment.

I remember when I met the god Tenjin and his regalia the other week and meeting the god Bishamon and her regalia. By meet I mean fight. I mean, we all get along so well together, I can't stand to see them in this state. 

Just as I was about to force Daikoku to let me be apart of the ablution, Hiyori came back with Kazuma. The three regalia created a borderline and trapped Yukine in it.

He screamed out in pain as his blights got worse and phantom eyes formed onto his back. Wings shot from his back and he hit himself on the walls, yelling in agony.

I couldn't stop staring him and holding back tears. "Yukine, you must admit to the sins you have committed." Daikoku chanted. "I didn't do anything, let me out!" Yukine screamed. "Yukine, just tell them, don't give up now!" I cried out to him.

"Why shouldn't I give up, it's not like anyone will care if I die!" He spat towards me. There was only one way this would go if I didn't say anything.

"I would care if you died.....because.....I love you!"
