The broken regalia {Yukine x reader}

Chapter 14

*3rd Person POV*

That night was spent with Kofuku and Daikoku trying to get into contact with Yato and try and find him. "Why did he have to leave at a time like this." Kofuku sighed as she played around with the food on the table.

"What are we going to do? And more importantly, how did this happen in the first place?" Daikoku said while he was still in thought about the whole thing.

*??? POV*

"It was good to see you again, Mei-chan~" I giggled as I walked next to Nora and Rabou. It has been at least a week since Rabou made me his regalia and I was enjoying tormenting y/n. Rabou informed me that he had some business to take care of with Yato and that we'll be seeing them more.

We walked back in silence as I was thinking about how much fun I will have.

*Your POV*

I could feel the pain surging through my body and making me shift around in my sleep. I was in so much pain. I stopped moving when I felt something on my side.

I opened my eyes to see that Yukine was asleep next to me. My face heated up as I stared at his messy blonde hair. While looking at Yukine, the pain on my torso felt nonexistent.

I didn't want to wake him up so I just laid there and slowly fell back to sleep.

~Dream~

I was lying on a cold black floor. I hoisted myself up and realised that I wasn't anywhere that I remembered. I looked around the dark room that had only moonlight as the light in it.

I tried standing up but I was sent back to the ground. I looked to my feet to see that I had big metal chains on my ankles.

I was questioning why I was here and why I'm restrained. I soon heard two familiar chuckles. I pulled my head up to see Mio and Nora approaching me. I backed up a bit but my back was met with a wall that prevented me from moving any further.

What were they doing here? They both held a smirk upon their faces and stopped in front of me. "What do you want from me?" I asked them cautiously because I didn't want them to hurt me.

"I want your life to be miserable, and Nora is here to help me," Mio said and pointed to the brown haired girl that had a blunt yet frightening expression. She reached down and grabbed me by the jaw and pulled me closer to her face. "You will pay for being a weak little bitch that couldn't even help a friend." She gritted and threw me down back to the ground.

All I could hear was the laughing until it all faded out and I returned to reality.

~exit dream~

My body shot up as I puffed in relief. Yukine woke up at my sudden movement and stared at me in concern. I wiped the sweat off of my face and noticed something wet on my face. Tears? "What's wrong y/n? Why are you crying." He said to me in pure worry.

Even though I was out of the dream, I still felt terrified. I clutched onto my blanket and noticed the pain in my side starting to hurt. Really bad.

How did she even do that? "She's not even real..." My thoughts escaped my lips and confused Yukine. In flash, I felt Yukine hugging me, not too hard because of my bandages. "It's alright, calm down. A lot of things have happened. Don't think about it." He reassured me. I hugged him back and buried my face into his neck.

I sniffled a bit and then looked up at him. "Thank you," I whispered. He nodded and gave me a smile. A genuine one that made me feel safe.

I pulled away from the hug and sighed. "I'm guessing yato hasn't come back," I said and sighed again when I saw Yukine nod.

"I'll just go and take a shower, won't be long," I said to him as I grabbed some clothes and a towel.

I got changed out of my blood-stained clothes and hopped into the shower. The water burnt the huge wound on my torso. I gasped at the stinging and quickly jumped out of the shower. I dried myself off, re-applied the bandage and got changed.

I walked back into the room and saw that Yukine wasn't there. He must be getting something to eat. I walked downstairs to see that Yukine was sitting at the table, along with Kofuku and Daikoku. They motioned for me to sit with them. I did so and sat next to Yukine.

"Y/n, do you know how this happened?" Kofuku got straight to the point. "Not really. I have a feeling that it was someone from my past." I said. "We know that you've been having nightmares," Kofuku stated with a serious expression on her face. "Do you think that she's the reason behind this," Daikoku said as my head shot up.

"I-it can't, she's not even alive-" "but she is." Kofuku interrupted. My eyes shot open even wider than before. "She can't, how?" I said in disbelief. "The same as you. She's a regalia." She said. I shook my head at the thought. Her, Mio, a real physical person. And she is definitely going to kill me.

My breath hitched and my heart stopped in fear. "Who's regalia is she?" I asked them. "We don't know yet, but first we need to find Yato." She said and I agreed.
