The broken regalia {Yukine x reader}

Chapter 15

"How do we do that?" I asked, still a bit confused as to what we would do.

Just as I asked that, Yato bursts through the door and fell onto the ground. "Yato!" We all yelled at him as Yukine and I ran up to him.

"I'm back." He chuckled and stood up.

"where have you been-" I was about to finish my sentence but was interrupted by none other that Yato. "No time to explain, lets go."

"What, no way!" Yukine protested and stood in front of me. "Tell us, now" He yelled at Yato.

"We need to help Hiyori." Yato explained. Even though he didn't explain where he was I was still interested in what he was saying. "What do you mean?" I asked him.

"I'll tell you on the way." he said quickly and pulled on my arm.

~Timeskip~

Yato explained that Hiyori ran into Nora and she somehow took her memories of ever meeting us. Yato seemed pretty determined to get those memories back. I sense a love story.

Anyway, Yato said that Nora had given him a point to meet at and we were going there now after we convince Hiyori to come with us.

When we got to the place, it seemed kind of...eerie.

Right out of nowhere, I heard a chuckle. Nora. "I see that you actually came...and with her." She sneered and walked towards us.

"Let's just get this over and done with," Yato whispered to Yukine, earning a nod from me. Once we agreed, another voice came out of nowhere.

"Yato, how I've waited for a fight with you. You are, after all, a God of calamity, like me." He said in a sinister voice.

"Rabou, I've changed from then, I don't kill people anymore." Yato protested against what he said.

I froze when I heard what came after Yato's response. "Just let him have his own fun and she'll get her memories back. Also, let me have my fun while you're at it." A small chuckle could be heard from behind Rabou.

When the figure stepped out, I completely froze, not knowing what to do. "W-w-what is she doing here?" I asked in sort of a terrified whisper.

My knees buckled together unconsciously and I fell to the ground.

"Aww, did I scare you...Mei-chan~" I heard that dreadful voice from behind me. I shuddered in fear as I saw Yukine look back at me.

"y/n, what's wrong," He asked in worry. I quickly came back to my senses and stared at him. "Talk to me! Are you alright?" He shook me and I was finally brought back into reality.

"I think so," I muttered. I was truly terrified at the thought that Mio was actually a regalia, for a god of calamity. The three of them stood there in front of us and we were keeping Hiyori hidden behind one of the huge rocks that were behind us.

Yato didn't seem to hesitate to take action. "Come, Mikki!" Yato shouted as I transformed.

"Yato, you're not really going to start fighting them are you," I said to him. "It's fine y/n. Don't be scared of them. As long as you are not distracted, we'll be fine." Yato assured me.

I've never been used in close combat before, he must be thinking of using me in long-distance attacks. I've got to stay focused and keep my mind on helping Hiyori.

I took a deep breath and looked forward into the white space.

"Let's do this." We said in unison.

*3rd Person POV*

When y/n transformed, Yukine stepped behind the rock Hiyori was behind.

'i hope y/n can do this.'

Yato quickly shot an arrow towards Rabou and jumped back. Rabou transformed Mio into a huge blade, wielding it so it made the arrow rebound onto the ground.

"Yato, I have a clear shot for his elbow." y/n relayed to Yato as he aimed the bow towards Rabou.

Y/n was extremely focussed on hitting Rabou and making him drop Mio. The plan was successful.... for the first few seconds.

When the arrow came into contact with Rabou, he jumped even closer to them.

*Yato's POV*

I was just going to keep him at a distance until I had a better plan, but it seems that there is only one thing to do. "Revert y/n!" I yelled and we both hopped away from Rabou.

"What was that for!?" She yelled at me. I just looked at her and she seemed to understand. "Come Sekki!" I called for Yukine, who was sitting with Hiyori.

"No don't-" y/n yelled and was interrupted by Rabou. "Revert Mio! Have your fun." He said and the girl reverted and held a small smile. I looked back over to y/n, she was terrified.

"It's alright. We'll finish this, just keep her safe." I said to her as I held Yukine, ready to fight Rabou, who was now holding Nora.

*your POV*

I quickly ran out of the water and towards Hiyori. "Come to play Mei-chan~" Mio sung and I could hear that she was getting closer.

I couldn't let her hurt Hiyori so I ran out from where I was and stood face to face with her. I could see her smile again, the smile I couldn't get out of my head. "I'm here now, let's end this," I said as bravely as I could.

Even though she was smaller than me, she was pretty intimidating. I took a deep breath and yelled out to Yato.

*Yukine's POV*

When we were battling, I heard someone yelling. It was y/n. It felt like I was the only one that could hear it.

"I love you Yukine!" I heard her voice yell in fear. I know why she's doing this, she's going up against her.

I repeated what she said in my head over and over again, that's what kept me fighting. I could tell by the sound of her voice that she was thinking she would die here. I can't let that happen. She will survive.

She has to.
