Chapter 8

Zorakuba's p.o.v.  

       I woke sometime later after that weird instance....i remembered everything and it felt like I was losing it...but then I heard a voice.  It was like a sweet lullaby coaxing me out of the hellish nightmare I was in.  I don't feel....depressed or scared anymore.
        I open my eyes and am met with the sheets of a bed.  This room is unfamiliar yet I feel like I've seen it before....
       I sit up and crack my neck alittle before standing up.  I walk out of the room and down the stairs.  When I reach the bottom I see Tae, Koujaku, Aoba, Ren and even Chef!  They're all in the dinning room sitting at the table.
      Koujaku was the first to notice me.  "Hey Zorakuba you're awake finally," he says kindly as the others look at me.  "I wasn't out for that long was I?" I ask as I sit at the table.
     "About two days," Tae responds as she looks at Zorakuba.  I then remember what happened. "Oh wow.....well...i suppose that's what happens when Scrap is used," I shrug as I speak casually.
     "How'd you know about Scrap?" Aoba asks me slightly surprised.  "I lived around Toue for a long time...i even remember now that I saw you and your grandma around.  I picked up a couple things in the process of gaining my own mind," I respond with before a small frown appears on my face.
     I'm artificial.....i see that now.  But....is that a bad thing?  I know I've done some pretty nasty stuff but I..."You ok Zorakuba?  You seem alittle down," Koujaku breaks my train of thought as he asks me this in a concerned tone. 
    "Huh? Oh yeah I'm fine...." I then remember something.  "Oh crap I gotta go!  Alex is probably freaking out over where I am," I say hurriedly as I stand, chef climbing onto my shoulder.
    "Who's that?" Aoba asks.  "No time to explain.  You can come with me if you want," I say as I start walking.
       Koujaku and Aoba decided to come along but Tae wanted to stay home.  That's fine considering she is alittle elderly... i mean that in respect.
      I'm walking down the narrow back alley I always use to get around.  It's convenient.  I decided....that maybe I could talk to these guys about my Ribstez team.....after all they kind of did take care of me when I was hurt and saved me from mental peril.
     "You're a Ribstez leader?" Koujaku asks as he looks at me.  I give a nod as i continue walking.  "Yeah.  Currently we're not too tough though since we lost all but myself and Alex when the gang decided to betray us," I explain to him. "What's it called?" He asks. 
      I go on to explain about who we are.  "It all started back when I first escaped the lab.  I was out and didn't know what to do or who I really was.  That's when I found Alex and the others.  They were starving and alone on the streets.  I don't know what happened but I felt the desire to help them.  That's when the Shadow Fangs were created. We stay out of sight but constantly try to help others so that they don't suffer like we did," I look at the others after finishing.  They look impressed. I don't know why though.  I mean, who wouldn't do what I did?  It's just something that came naturally of me.
     As we continue to walk and make small talk, I stop walking suddenly.  "Zorakuba?" I shush Aoba quickly and my eyes dart around.  Something was off....
      Just as I was thinking this something catches my eye.  A small shiver of light reflected off of metal...a knife? I walk over to it and pick it up. "This doesn't belong to Alex or I.....someone was here..." I state in a serious tone before frowning.
      Without a word I run towards our base, a simple abandoned warehouse I fixed up.  The others follow me quickly as I rush up to the door.  I have to be careful.  Even if it's nothing I have to be... you never know what could happen.
     I burst through the door and I freeze.  The two stop behind me.  "Zorakuba what is- oh my god...." Aoba says as he stands next to me.  Koujaku looks as well.
    In front of me...was a tattered mess.  Everything was destroyed in here!  "Alex!" I call as I look around worriedly.  I'm running around like a lunatic on steroids right now.  What if something happened to him!  He's my best friend and practically my little brother!
     I call his name again before Koujaku calls out to me from a place in the main room...or what was left of it.  He was pointing to a symbol that was spray painted onto the wall over my tag art.....it was Morphine's tag art! 
       As I was looking at this two voices cleared their throats behind us.  I whirled around and am met with two people who look like twins..."I almost immediately reach for my concealed knife in belt but Aoba stops me.  "It's ok I know these guys.." he says in a quiet voice. He introduces them to me as Virus and Trip.
      "We heard something from over here and came to see what it was" Virus says calmly as he pushes up his glasses.  Koujaku doesn't seem to like their presence but isn't really saying anything.  "Yeah...thats when we found you guys here," Trip adds.
    I am suspicious as hell....these guys just walts in here when someone kidnapped Alex...."I suppose you two didn't see anyone here right?  Or am I supposed to believe this?  And why are you two so familiar...." I ask suspiciously.  I feel like I've met them somewhere before but where?
      Virus shrugs.  "I don't know why we're familiar but I assure you we aren't guilty of anything unnecessary here," he replies in a cool tone.  I still don't trust these guys...
        I frown before looking at Aoba.  "We need to find him.  Those bastards who took him are gonna be sorry they ever crossed me..." I say angrily to myself as I shake my head.  "We'll help you Zorakuba," Koujaku says as Aoba nods.
       "We'll keep an eye out too and we'll let you know if we see anything," Virus says.  "Yeah we'll call," Trip once again adds on to Virus's sentence...seriously are they related at all?  I mean really?

I frown as I walk around looking for any signs of clues.....something tells me something bad is gonna happen soon.

(Hey guys!  Twist here is that I'm thinking of doing Virus and Trips route first!  Or if you have any suggestions let me know.)
