Nyssa's pov

"Lucy?" I call, poking my head into the building. It is an old warehouse. It smells awful. I wait for a reply. Nothing. I groan and push the door open completely before walking inside.

"Lucy?" I call again, hoping that she'd answer and I'd save her before Cyclone and Hypno get back. Or heard me. Of course I have no such luck. Go figure.

"Viper. How lovely of you to stop by," Hypno greets, walking out of a doorway. He is tall and a little chubby. His costume is dark blue and gray. He carries himself with a lot of confidence though, which makes me a little jealous. I am still really insecure because of recent anti-super events.

Cyclone is trailing behind him like a lost puppy. If puppies are evil psychopaths. Her costume hasn't changed at all. But there are visible bags under her eyes and her hair is a mess, like she doesn't care about brushing it anymore.

"Where's Lucy?" I demand, "The girl you kidnapped."

"That's not really any of your concern, Nyssa," Hypno answers, putting emphasis on my name. I gasp and recoil, my stomach dropping. How does he know? How did he find out? I feel sick.

"Surprised?" He laughs, "Curious as to how I found out?" I don't respond to him in any way. I just stand there, my hands curled into fists, ready to strike.

"A rat sold you out," Hypno explains, answering his own questions. My stomach drops again. Someone sold me out? Who would do that? I glance over. Cyclone shifts uncomfortably.

"I- I don't belive you," I reply, my voice shaking, which gives away my actual feelings. Stupid lack of confidence.

Hypno shrugs, Suit yourself. Cyclone, attack." Cyclone moves forward, her hands also clenched into fists. I run forward, ready to deck her.

She strikes first, uncurling her hands, her palms extended out towards me. A gust of wind slams against my chest, forcing me to stand still. The force of her wind is equal to the force of speed that I am running at. I'm stuck.

Cyclone adds a little extra power to the gust which sends me flying backwards, straight into a mental support beam. I hit that, then crash onto the floor. I groan and try to catch my breath, which she had just knocked out of me.

Hypno laughs at my pain, clapping his hands together, "Marvelous! Great job, Cyclone. Now finish her." Shit.

"Wait!" I shout, trying to buy myself some time.

"What?" He demands, clearly annoyed with me.

"Why is she following you? Does she get something out of this?" I ask, nodding towards Cyclone. I still haven't seen Lucy. I am really starting to get worried now.

"No, she doesn't. She follows me because she has no choice. She's under my control," Hypno answers, seeming a little bored.

"If you can't use your hypnotism on supererheroes, then how are you controlling her?" I demand, confused. Hypno snaps his fingers at her.

I lay on my side, watching as Cyclone pulls the mask off of her face. Hypno was right at her side. She drops the mask on the floor. My jaw drops.

"Lucy?"
