Before Four [book one]

Ch.10

Tobias POV

Ow.

It's been worse though.

I was dazed from the whips from the belt and the punch to the face. I was desperately trying to get the strength to help Beatrice. But I couldn't.

It fet like my heart go ripped in half, burned, stabbed a million times, and that repeated.

And I realized that that feeling is what I need to use to take down Marcus.

So, I stood up slow, trying not to fall down in the process. I snuck over to where Marucs was sitiing on top of my beautiful Beatrice, and shoved him away really hard. I got on top of him.

But I couldn't do it.

I couldn't punch him.

I was scared. I was afraid. I was petrified, let's put it.

He shoved me off of him and ran upstairs.

But he looked down on me before leaving the basement.

"I'm leaving this house." he spat and stomped out of the house.

I really couldn't care less where he was going.

Pushing thoughts of Marcus away, I crawled to Beatrice and craddled her small, fragile body in my arms. She was unconscious, but not dead. Yet, her heart beat was very faint.

"Stay with me." I croaked. I can't lose her. No, not now. Not ever.

Wow, I'm saying things abut someone I never thought I'd say about anyone in my entire life.

I sighed and weakly carried Beatrice uostairs all the way into my bedroom. I set her down gently on my bed and run to get the medical kit. I cam back and cleaned Beatrice up. Herface, arms, legs, and i kinda had to take her shirt off to clean underneath it.

I am not a perv if thats what you're thinking.

I had to clean her up.

Liar, you are a perv.

Shutup, I didn't ask for you're help

That's right, because I would've told you not to take her shirt off and perv.

Why am I fighting with you?! You're my conscience!

Ugh.

I layed down next to Beatrice, but I kept my distance, I don't know how she'll react when she wakes up.

So, I turned my lamp off and closed my door before laying back down again.

I sighed and closed my eyes.

What a blast for Beatrice.
