I was led to a small room. The walls were bleached white and the bed had a blue blanket on it that looked perfectly placed in its spot. There was a window over looking the city with a ledge on it where I could sit. A small table sat in the corner with a chess board resting on it. There was a picture of a snowy landscape on the bleached walls with a large golden frame soaking it in it's Beauty.

"This is your room Gem"

I set my trash bag full of clothes on the ground and nodded.

"Now, you can't leave it unless you are given permission understand?"

Again, I nodded.

"Visiting hours are between noon and 7pm got it?"

"Got it" I replied.

At once she left and I was alone.

I looked around once again. It didn't look like much of a mental ward to me. More like a trashy hotel room.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door, in came a middle aged man with a leather backed clip board and red bow tie.

"Hi Gem, how are you doing?"

He came rather close to me so I took a step back

"Good" ... I hesitantly responded.

"We'll, I guess I better introduce myself"

He sat down in the leather chair that stood against the wall

"My name is Eric and I'm a psychiatrist"

I sighed. For a second I forgot where I was.

"Oh, hello"

I sat down on my bed, feeling myself break the fresh crease of the blankets

"I'm just here to talk, to figure things out with you ok?"

I stifled back a laugh and nodded.

I loved these people, I have had about a million of them and every single one of them cracked me up.

"I'm here to help Gem, all I need is for you to be completely honest with me ok?"

I nodded.

"So" he said

"Shall we begin?"
