Plan B

room redecorating

A few days go by and the tense feeling between my sister and I, is starting to fade since I stopped talking about the bo issue. 

"So what paint color do you want for your bedroom?" Shannon walks in sitting on the black and white striped covers of my queen size bed.

"Hmm well I want to go with a like Victorian goth kind of theme but not too goth." I laughed.

"When did you become all dark?" Shannon lifts an eyebrow as she lets a smirk ponder on her face.

"I just like how they style their rooms so I want to replicate it." I shrug.

"Mainly because our parents were too religious to let her have her Emo phase." Emilia leans on the door frame with her arms crossed and a deviant smile placed on her lips.

"I have a picture of what I want it too look like." I say turning the screen of Emilia's  laptop around.

"that looks nice and do-able, we can add some pink or purple instead of it being strictly white and black." emilia suggests. i nod in agreement.

"well get ready and we'll go get the things." shannon gets off the bed and takes emilias hand as they walk out of my room shutting the door behind them. 

i pull out a pair of white jean shorts from the brown vintage looking dresser when a thought ponders on my brain. i could probably repaint this dresser and itll look great with the room. i nod to myself and continue to make my way over to the closet and pull a beige t shirt off the hanger. 

undressing myself i threw my pjs on the bed and threw the clean clothes on. once i was dressed i walked into the bathroom across the hall and brushed my teeth. the shower was going and i heard not only my sister but shannon as well. 

"are you two showering together?" i questioned looking at the closed curtain through the steamy bathroom. 

"yes and did you know its rude to come in the bathroom while people are showering." emilia said poking her head out of the curtain with soapy wet hair. 

"not when its my sister and its not like i can see your girlfriend." i laugh. 

"avery close the door im cold and i just shaved!" shannon squeaks.

i hum a sure and close the door as i step out. i plop my butt on the couch and turn on the tv while i wait for the two.

"what about these curtains?" emilia asks pointing out a sheer black curtain set. i grab it and feel it. throwing it in the basket is my way of saying yes and we move on. 

"how long are we going to be here?" i ask looking at the time on my phone.

"we've been here for only 30 minutes and this is stuff for your room so shut it." my sister teases. letting out a sigh we continue walking through the aisles picking out things we need.

2 hours later we finally get out of the store and head back to the apartment. shannon and emilia pull the bed apart and i start taking out furniture while they take the bed apart. they help me slide the matress out of the room and set it in their room which was messy but not as messy as the living room is getting. 

"lay out the tarp and we can start painting." emilia tells me and i do as so. 

it takes about 4 hours to paint the entire room in stripes, which is way to much work that ill never be doing again. 

"you can sleep in our room tonight so we can finish tomorrow." shannon offers but i decline. 

"if its alright with you guys i was going to ask if i can see my boyfriend tonight." i bite my lip anxiously. 

the two look at each other, shannon shrugs and emilia turns to me and nods. "dont be out too late though, ill give you a key so you can let yourself in." i jump in excitement and hug the both of them. 

they head to their room and emilia comes back out with a key of keys on a lanyard. i hug her goodbye and stand outside waiting for elijah. 20 minutes later he comes and picks me up.
