Singewhisker's P.O.V
I Lunged at the fox with my claws out stretched and my teeth bared. The fox swung around and grabbed CloudClaw by the throat and slung him across the clearing. "Cloudclaw!" Skyarrow yowled and leaped at the russet beast like a badger. She scraped her claws down it's flank and shoulders. It wailed and shook Skyarrow off while she clung to its back. "I will not let you kill him!" Skyarrow hissed and bit the back of the fox's neck. Blood swelled from the wound, the fox eventually knocked her off and sent her flying into a tree. I had saw that Cloudclaw wasn't moving. Mousewhisker and Beepaw raked their claws down the fox's sides and bit his tail. The fox shrieked and turned and fled. Beepaw landed with a thump as Coldnose came racing to her covering her in licks of comfort. "Stooooop!" She shoved his muzzle away in a friendly manner.
"Cloudclaw!" A tabby streaked across the clearing, "Brother, No! No! No! No!" Lightningfoot screeched as he shoved his paws to the wound to stop the bleeding but I could see the blood seeping trough his paws. "No!" Skyarrow yowled and launched herself at him. "Please, Claude! Don't leave me!" She wailed in distress and pain. Cloudclaw didn't move. No blink. No breath. He was dead.
We had placed Cloudclaw in the clearing as wails of sadness erupted from the clearing. Mercury and Venus raced to their father's side. His gray pelt now stained red and brown. Petalpaw stared in horror. I took her with my paw and dragged her closer along with Goosepaw who cuddled up next to Splashcliff almost sinking into her black and white fur. Magpiepaw wasn't here, he was out hunting. Lucky, he wouldn't be able to see death so early on.
I wish I could of done more....
