PHOENIX POV
I still didn't know what to think about Jungkook and Seoyoon. Why did he choose to stay? How could he have even come to love her? And more importantly, she was a mother! She was old enough to have been Jungkook's mother!
V texted me after our talk.
"Seoyoon and Jungkook go way back. She's been his babysitter, his bestfriend, and now his girlfriend. Crazy right?"Huh. So they had an inseparable bond as well. She knew a Jungkook no one else knew. She knew multiple sides of him. She understood him like I never would.
But I had something else to worry about. I had 27 days to wait.
Waiting was the hardest part of it. Nervousness chewed up my thoughts. What was I going to say when I saw him? How would he treat me? What was I going to do? Just too many questions.
As always, I went on with life. AP exams were coming up too, so I had to start studying hardcore. Sadie asked me why I started being so distant ever since the concert. And to be totally honest, I only really ever talked to her because she was the only person I had to talk to.
But it was different now. I had Bangtan. For once in my life, I had something to look forward to. Drama to squeal about. I'd never had these emotions before my encounter with Jungkook. He gave me these feelings. It hurt so much but it was so addicting.
Everyday after school, I jumped straight to bed because I just wanted the day to come already.
I hadn't talked to Jungkook in forever when I suddenly received a random message from him again. It was 2 days before the fan signing.
"Do girls like strawberries or blueberries more? It's blueberries right?"
It was so random, I didn't even know how I was going to respond. "Strawberries I guess. I love strawberries way more than blueberries."
He didn't text me back. Instead, V did.
"Phoenix, did you get a weird text about strawberries and blueberries from Jungkook?""Yes, why? What are you boys doing?" I was honestly confused. Jungkook would never just message me like that.
"Jiminie was talking about how his girlfriend in 3rd grade broke up with him after he packed her a box of blueberries and I said it was because women like strawberries better. Jungkook cut in and said that women like blueberries better. So I asked him to ask any girl besides his mom, which one they liked better, and I guess he texted you."
Absolute dorks. They must've been bored out of their minds. They made bets on fruits. Ha.
I just responded with a simple, "lol."
The night before the meet and greet, I wondered what Jungkook was doing. Was he sleeping already? Was he eating? My heart raced remembering that I'd see him the next day. I shut my eyes tight and tried to fall asleep so that I'd see him sooner.
Red or pink. Hmm. I couldn't decide which lip color suited me more. I looked at my clock, 3:00 pm. 3 hours before the event.
Shoot. My heart was still feeling all sorts of ways. I still couldn't believe this was happening.
V told me to get to the venue a little earlier so I could show the ticket guy that I had a special ticket. I quickly got ready and spritzed on my favorite perfume. Scent was key.
When I got to the venue an old woman scanned the ticket and told me to go to the left. I looked at the right entrance, it clearly said Enter Here.
But then I remembered, I was a special exception.
