PHOENIX POV

I ran. I didn't know if it was my tears or the wind that was making me choke.

The sun had set but the sky was still a lilac color. I was running wherever the wind was pushing me.

My chest was hurting and I felt like puking. My feet were sore from the hard cement hitting my thin flats. Everything was a mess.

Seoyoon.

Jungkook.

Why did I put myself through it? Why didn't I realize that he was always going to go back to her.

She knew him like I never would. I knew Jungkook, I definitely knew him. But she knew him. And he knew her.

The streets seemed to fill up again, when just 10 minutes ago only Jungkook and I were there.

Despite the weird looks from random strangers and the pain in my feet, I kept running.

The wind hit my face, but it felt nice. I felt like it would never end. The running would never end. But to my surprise, it did.

A wave of expensive cologne washed over me as I crashed into what felt like a rock covered with silk cloth.

Well, my guess was pretty accurate. It just happened to be MinHyuk with his fancy silk button up.

I rubbed my puffy eyes and took a better look at him. He was so tall. The way his facial features were arranged was just too perfect to be human.

He had to be half vampire or something.

Looking at him made even more tears stream down my face. I didn't know why. I just needed to let my tears out. I wanted someone to know how hurt I felt. To feel my pain.

MinHyuk happened to be the number one candidate.

His eyebrows instantly furrowed as he grabbed my shoulder, "What happened?"

I shook my head and looked down, covering my mouth to keep any crying noises silent. I could picture Jungkook going to her. Smiling.

Jungkook was going to her, while I was there. Crying.

MinHyuk sighed, "I guess there's only one way to fix this mess."

And I don't know how it happened, but we were suddenly eating pineapple popsicles outside of a small convenience store near my hotel.

"Ice cream really is the way to a girl's heart." MinHyuk joked and glanced over at me. We were both leaning on a vending machine. The cold wind and ice cream didn't go well together but it somehow made me feel a ton better.

I just looked at him and continued eating.

He looked good. Not going to lie, his fashion sense was runway worthy. It wasn't all dressed up like V's but it wasn't casual like Jungkook.

The first time we met, he was wearing a grey suit. He was probably going to a meeting, but today he was more dressed down.

A white silk button up tucked into black dress pants, a dark grey trench coat, and classic black dress shoes. He looked expensive and classy.
