You burst into Fili's bedroom. You stumble to the floor, on your hands and knees, breathing hard. "Y/N!" Fili exclaims, running to you. "What's happened?" He asks worriedly, kneeling beside you, a hand on your back. You look up at your best friend and then remove your jacket to show him your arm.
His eyes widen in horror at the stream of blood running down your arm. "Y/N, what happened?!"
"An Orc-an Orc jumped me when I was out riding. I barely...escaped with my life. He cut my arm." You pant.
Fili's blue eyes fill with rage. "What." He grits out. He starts to stand but you grab his shirt.
"Wait, wait, don't do anything rash." You plead.
"Y/N, he hurt you!" He exclaims.
"I'm okay . It's just-it's just a cut. It's not deep. It will heal."
Fili's jaw clenches. "I can't sit around here while an Orc who hurt you is out roaming the forest. I'm going after him." He states, standing.
"Then I'm coming with you." You tell him, standing up.
"Y/N, no-" He starts to protest.
"You don't know where I was attacked. You won't be able to find him without my help. You need me." You point out.
"Why do you always have to be right?" He sighs. You quirk a smile. "But what about your arm?" He says, frowning.
"It's fine. It'll be fine. I'll worry about it later." You murmur. You nudge him with your hip, grinning. "Let's go hunt an Orc." You say. Fili grins.

You follow Fili through the forest. You've never seen him so stealthy. He's silent as he moves through the woods and you feel like an Oliphant compared to him. His normally kind blue eyes are hard and there's a dangerous glint in them. He looks poised to kill at any second.
You swallow as he stops behind a large boulder. He climbs on top of it and peeks over it, wanting to see if he can spot the Orc. "Anything?" You whisper lowly. Even that seems incredibly loud in the silence.Fili looks at you and shakes his head. He looks back out and then his body stiffens. "I found him." He breathes. He climbs down the boulder. "You stay on the rock. I'm going after him." He whispers in your ear. You nod and do as he says. He silently runs off, his sword drawn.
You watch him through the woods as he stalks the Orc as it moves. You smile at Fili's protectiveness—willingly throwing himself out in danger to protect you and his own. It is amazing.
Fili runs out of the forest, surprising the Orc. Before the Orc can even draw his weapon, Fili runs him through.
Your eyebrows raise and you slide down from the boulder. "Feeling better?" You ask, walking back to him, smiling.
Fili smiles at you and rolls his shoulders. "Yes, actually." He replies.
"Thanks, Fili." You say, standing in front of him.
"You're welcome."
"Hey, just remind me to never get on your bad side, okay?" You say.
Fili laughs and hugs you. "You could never get on my bad side." He murmurs.
You look up at him, grinning. "Tell that to me when I'm on your bad side."
[THE END] I hope you liked it!
