Moonbeam's POV

"What is happening?" I was so confused. Was this supposed to happen or had it already happened to someone before?

"Well, I'm sure you have heard that there is a prophecy about you. The prophecy is as follows: A girl born of royalty, with hair the color of fresh snow and eyes the color of purple with a ring of red as deep as blood, shall come into her powers at the age of 16. She will experience grief, betrayal, love, trust, security, and death. Once she has gone through all six stages, her powers will grow to their full potential and she will battle a great evil. However, if she goes through any of the stages and cannot withstand the affects, she will die, taking all of the supernatural world with her. "  My grandfather looked at me, his eyes full of sorrow and grief.

"I wasn't strong enough. I.....wasn't strong enough. I did this to myself....to myself and the whole supernatural world. I'm dying and so is everyone I was meant to save." I shook my head and turned away from everyone. I couldn't stand the looks of sadness, grief, and disappointment I was getting from everyone in the room. I squeezed my eyes shut and drew in a deep breath. I slowly let my breath out and lifted my head up. I turned back around, a fire burning within me.

"No. I'm not dying. I'm not dying and neither are any of you. I'm not going to give up. This is not the end. I'm going to survive this, I'm going to survive the battle, and I'm going to become the girl in the prophecy." The Vampires cheered, my grandparents nodded, and my pack howled in happiness.

All the noise slowly faded away and everyone just stared at me. The room grew brighter and brighter until it was almost glowing. I looked around and found that I was the source of the light. My fingertips had rays of white light shooting out of them. My body was encased by a pulsing white light and I was floating higher and higher into the air until I was hovering about three feet off the ground.

A women appeared right in front of me. Her hair was pure white, her eyes were honey, and she was encased by a soft blue light, like moonlight. Her dress was long and looked as if it was made out of ice crystals. The dress went from a gold color to teal. It was breathtaking to say the least. (picture of the dress on the right)

"My dear child, how brave and strong you are indeed. It is time." She smiled at me.

"Time? Time for what? Who are you?" Her laugh was like a soft lullaby and it could make a grown man cry.

"I am Luna Dea, the Moon Goddess and it is time for you to fulfill your destiny. Be forewarned, what you have encountered is only the beginning. There are still many hardships to come and none are easy to overcome. You must cherish the time that you have with your loved ones because the battle is drawing near and there will be lives lost. Just remember that no matter what, love conquers all." The blue light around her flashed and she was gone. My feet touched the ground once again but my knees instantly buckled underneath me.

I crumbled to the floor and my body began to convulse. My whole body seemed to be on fire and waves of pain were hitting me, one after the other. I vaguely heard my pack shouting and Ryker talking to me but I couldn't make anything out. It felt like I was in a bubble or underwater. I could hear that they were saying something, but I couldn't hear what they were saying exactly. I felt helpless. I was helpless. I couldn't speak, move, or see anything. My vision was blurring and my eyes kept rolling into the back of my head but I stayed conscious, or at least I tried to stay conscious. It got harder and harder to stay awake and soon enough, my body went numb and my eyelids closed. I surrendered to the sweet relief that sleep offered.

Ryker's POV

As soon as Moon touched the ground, she collapsed and started convulsing. I rushed to her side and tried to hold her to me but her skin burned me.

"Someone get me a bowl of cold water, ice, wet rags, anything!" My pack surrounded us and didn't let anyone get past them. They were yelling at some of the Vampires to stay back. When the things that I asked for finally came, my pack took them from the Vampires and handed them to me.

I put some of the ice in the already cold water and then soaked the rags in the water. I wrung out the rags before placing them on Moon's skin. She was still convulsing and her eyes kept rolling into the back of her head.

"Moon! Stay with me! Don't close your eyes! Stay with me!" I wasn't sure if she could hear me but I kept yelling the same things over and over again. I didn't know what was happening and I didn't care. All I knew was that something was wrong with my mate and I didn't like it. Her eyes soon closed and she stopped moving.

"Moon! Don't leave me! Stay with me! Open your eyes. Please." My yells faded into sobs and pleads. I laid my head on her chest and closed my eyes. Her heart beat slowed and her breaths lessened. I sat up and shook my head.

"Get a doctor or someone! Her heartbeat is slowing! We need someone here, NOW!" Everything passed by in a rush. A couple of Vampires came and picked up Moon. I followed them to what I assumed to be the medical room. They stopped me from entering one of the rooms and I struggled against them for a while. I kicked and growled at them, I even scratched one of them. It took 10 Vampires and my pack to restrain me. Once I had calmed down, they sent me to the waiting room. I sat down in one of the plastic, cushioned chairs and put my head in my hands. All I could think, all that was going through my head was, 'Please be alright, Moon. Please be alright.'

Ahh, yet another chapter ended with a cliff hanger. Sorry for that but I gotta keep it interesting.  ;) I'll probably upload again very soon.
