Chapter 21

Moon's POV

It's been a week since I got out of the hospital and boy did it feel great to be away from the sterile smell and stiff beds!

As soon as I got out of the hospital, I went to the room Ryker and I were staying in and flopped onto the bed. I then contacted my grandparents about everything that had happened. They were surprised and disappointed by the doctor's actions but they understood that it was over now.

I looked over at Ryker, who was leaning against the door frame, and sighed. He frowned and walked over to the bed before sitting down next to me. He took my hands and kissed them while running soothing circles with his thumbs on the palms of my hands.

"What's wrong, Mate?" I looked up at him and smiled sadly.

"I miss Tyler, Jake and Eric. I know I just met them again but I feel like I've known them for my whole life." He returned my sad smile and shook his head.

"Oh, Darling. You know, we could invite them over here since you miss them and I'm sure your grandparents would love to see them too?" I sat up quickly and bounced in place.

"Oh my gosh, yes! You are a genius Ryker! I love you so much!!!" I gave him a quick kiss before mind-linking my grandparents.

'Can I invite my brothers over here?'

'Of course! I've missed my grandchildren.' I smiled at my grandmother's response.

'I would like to see how my grandsons are.' Grandpa chuckled in the mind-link and I smiled giddily.

'THANK YOU SO MUCH!'

I cut off the mind-link with them and instead, connected to Eric, Tyler and Jake.

'HEY YOU GUYS!'

'Seriously? This early in the morning?'

'Tyler, it is actually 3 in the afternoon.' I rolled my eyes at him.

'Exactly! Now, let me sleep.'

'Fine! I'll just invite Jake and Eric over.'

'Wait, what?'

'Nope. You don't get to come. Bye!'

I blocked Tyler from the link and just talked to Eric and Jake.

'So, you guys feel like coming over?'

'Hell yeah!'

'Eric! You potty mouth! Not around Jake.'

'It's okay Moon. I hear that a lot. But I would love to see you.' I frowned at Jake's response and just shook my head.

'One, we will have to change that then. And two, YAY! I'll see you both tomorrow.'

'Wait, were you serious about not letting Tyler come?'

'Eric, would I seriously deprive him of seeing the Vampire Kingdom for the first time ever?'

'Yes?'

'No! The answer is no, Eric. Ugh. I'm out.'

I cut the link off and shook my head.

"What?" Ryker asked.

"Guys are stupid." He scoffed at that.

"No we aren't."

"Yeah you are."

"No we aren't."

"Yes. You. Are!"

"No. We. Aren't." He growled and I gasped.

"Did you just....growl? At ME?" His anger died down and he looked guilty but mine flared.

"YOU DID! YOU JUST GROWLED AT ME! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!" I stomped to the door and flung it open.

"Moon, babe, wait-" He tried to grab me but I moved out of the way and growled at him. He looked hurt and I wanted to apologize and make up so bad but he had to learn that I won't take crap from him.

"It hurts, when the one person who is suppose to love you unconditionally and cherish you growls at you...it hurts. But you already know that now." My voice was barely a whisper and I shook my head in disappointment before leaving our room.

I went to the room a few doors down and laid on the bed. It was like ours but smaller. My tears came slowly at first but then, before I knew it, I was sobbing and balling. It made me cry even more to know that my mate is supposed to comfort me but he is the cause of this.

Why am I so emotional all of the sudden?

Ryker's POV

I reached out to grab her and comfort her, to show her that I was sorry but she moved away and growled. I retracted my hand quickly and I knew I looked hurt. It stung. It stung like a slap to the face.

"It hurts, when the one person who is suppose to love you unconditionally and cherish you growls at you...it hurts. But you already know that now." Her anger turned into grief and sorrow.

My wolf whimpered at her pain and I wanted to hit myself for causing her to be like this.

'Then do it! No matter how many times you hit yourself, you can never make up for hurting our mate.'

'Don't you think I know that! Snarling at me isn't gonna fix anything though so leave me alone right now.'

He huffed but left me in peace.

What can I do to show Moon I'm sorry? To show her that I love her more than anything and anyone?

I could hear her sobbing in the other room and it broke my heart because I did that to her. Me, her mate.

I don't even understand. I know Moon and I know that she wouldn't cry because of this. She would most likely make my life hell for growling at her. I wonder what's wrong?

"What do you mean you failed?!"

"The doctor failed to inject her with enough of the serum. She was still able to use her powers and escape from the hallucinations."

"You stupid ass fool!" I snarled and hung up the phone, throwing it at the wall.

"MICHAEL! GET IN HERE NOW!" He rushed in and bowed.

"Yes?"

"Go kill that stupid Alpha...Alpha Bryce or whatever. Make sure he is dead this time. I have to deal with the Vampire and Werewolf kingdoms some other way."

"Yes, Sir." He closed the door behind him but I could still hear him ordering some men to go end that no good Alpha.

"I need a new plan..." I muttered and after an hour of thinking, I remembered someone that could help. I dialed and waited for them to pick up.

"What do you want?" They asked, already knowing it was me.

"I'm calling in that favor you owe me."

"What do you want me to do?"

"I need you to....."

I just want to say sorry for not updating in so long.

I'll update more soon since it's almost summer time. WHOO!

No more school.
