Is Chessa Real?

Chapter 17

Tessa's POV

No one feels safe in this house.

Me and Jake decided instead of waiting a whole other week before vacation, we were going asap.

This morning Chance and I cooked breakfast for everyone, kinda like old times.

We made pancakes, eggs, toast, and sausage links.

After everyone was done eating me and Jake walked into the office to see if we could get an earlier flight.

We haven't really told anyone where we were going but mentioned that a trip was coming soon.

After straightening up the house and kitchen, Erika and I got ready and went to the store.

...

We grabbed a buggy and began walking toward makeup isle. I needed new foundation and more makeup wipes.

Rik grabbed a few things like mascara and a new beauty blender.

After looking at new luggage and grabbing a few snacks for the plane ride we were ready to go home.

When we arrived home, the boys were getting the trampolines off the roof...apparently we got in trouble.

Chance and Ivan helped me and Rik carry in the groceries and our new luggage.

That night we had order pizza and waited for Jake to announce our vacation plans.

"Alright guys" Jake started "We have mentioned that we were going on vacation soon."
"Well it's happening sooner than later" he continued.

In two days we will be flying to Florida to the Gulf of Mexico.

So tomorrow we will all be packing and printing off our plane tickets.

That night we pulled our mattresses into Nick's room so we wouldn't be sleeping on the floor.

The next morning

Last night was the best we've slept in the past week. The room was cold so you could cuddle up in a blanket.

Our flight was not until 11 tonight so we had all day to get ready.

We all got up and got ready for the day, then went out together for brunch.

7 p.m.

We just got home and none of us have started packing...once again.

Chance and I practically stay in the same room now, so we went upstairs together to pack.

I grabbed the suitcase out of the closet and began packing my stuff.

We were only going for a week so I brought: one dress, 4 pairs of shorts, 2 tank tops, a few crop tops and shirts, and 3 bathing suits. Plus shoes and toiletries.

Me and Chance are sharing the new suitcase I bought only because it's so huge.

He finished packing his things and I was done packing the carryon. We had our chargers, and laptops with a blanket in the bag.

...

It's 9:45 p.m. and we are finally going to the airport. Jake and Nick made sure that the alarm was set and the doors were locked before leaving.

We arrived about 20 minutes later and we're now going through security check.

Everyone made it through without any trouble so now we're sitting by the gate.

"Does anyone want something from Starbucks?" Erika asked.

The boys gave me and Rik their order before we left. I knew we'd be getting on a plane soon so I only got a tall iced caramel frappe.

Not long after finishing our drinks, out flight to Florida was now boarding.

I sat down by the window with Chance in the middle of Anthony and I.

I grabbed the blanket out of our carryon and rested my head on Chance's shoulder.
