Chapter 20

Recap of last night:
Chance's POV

Tessa and I had our 'date' last night and everything was going great.

I took her to this small pizza place and then we acted like idiots in a beach bargain store.

Before we walked into the house I pulled her into me for a hug. Our eyes locked after we thanked each other for tonight.

She and I both started leaning in towards each other when the front door bursts open.

"Thank you for my daughter back, have a nice night" Jake said pulling her in as closing the door.

I laughed it off but my goal by the end of this trip is to kiss the girl of my dreams.

Day 2
Tessa's POV

I was kinda disappointed Chance and I didn't get to kiss last night, but there is always tomorrow.

Today we are just chillin at the beach and at our pool.

The condo we rented provided tons of beach chairs and floats for the pool so we didn't have to go out and buy some.

It was almost 3 p.m. and everyone had moved up to the condo to swim.

Me and Rik were making lunch for the boys when she asked how things went with Chance:

"So how was the date?" Erika asked wanting the scoop.
"It was good until Jake interrupted" I said kinda disappointed.

"We were at the front door getting ready to kiss when Jake pulls me inside" I continue.
"Well maybe it'll happen before we leave" Rik replied winking.

When we were done making sandwiches for the guys, we took them out to the patio table and let them get it themselves.

No one had plans for this evening so we decided we'd go out to eat together.

As long as we were back before the gym closed so the guys could go.

Later that evening around 5 we were all ready and heading out to get sushi and seafood.

It had been a while since any of us have had sushi, so we were pretty excited.

It wasn't a fancy restaurant, but one where we could dress nice.

After dinner we all took a walk on the beach before getting in the van.

It wasn't very cold but there was a cool breeze.

It was hard to see since it was dark but that didn't stop us. I was behind a few of the boys in case there was a jellyfish...they'd step on it before me.

My shoes were in my left hand and I feel something grab my right. I look over and see Chance smiling ear to ear.

"Do you care?" he asked look down at our intertwined hands.
"No it's okay" I smiled back.

After spending a while walking, we made it back to the van and were now headed home.

I hung my wash cloth back up in the shower and put tooth paste on my toothbrush.

Chance had walked into the bathroom and wrapped his arms around my neck resting his head on my shoulder.

"What's up?" I asked with a mouth full of toothpaste.
"Nothin" he replied smiling while watching me.

He went to lay down in my bed while I finished getting ready.

When I walked out of the bathroom, he was on his phone scrolling through twitter cuddled up to a pillow.

I crawled in on the opposite side and got on my phone as well. We laid there for a while just in silence, but it was the comfortable kind.

My eyes started to get very heavy so I laid my phone down and rolled over to face Chance.

"I think I'm going to bed" I said closing my eyes.
"Alright, I'm still going to lay here" he said shooting a small smile at me.

"Goodnight" I replied reopening my eyes to look at him.
"Goodnight Tess" he said leaning over to kiss my forehead.
