Chapter 28: Feelings? Maybe?

Shawn's P.O.V
"Tara please." I beg.

"Shawn I already told you no. Please stop asking." I wanted Tara to give me her car keys.

"Please. Nevada wants to go to the movies. It's only a short drive there. Please Tara?" I make a cute puppy dog sad face. I've been asking for over 5 minutes now.

"Shawn if I let you go, you have to promise to take care of my car like it's your own child."

"I promise." I say confidently. She rolls her eyes, extends her arm, and hands me the keys. "Thank you Tara." I say excitedly, while giving her a hug.

"Shawn you had better be back here before midnight."

"We will!"

"I'm being serious Shawn!" I hear her yell as I'm walking towards the door.

"When'd you become such a mom." I say laughing. I pull out my phone and text Nevada.

Shawn: Tara let me have her car!

Nevada: Yay! You coming to pick me up?

Shawn: Yup. On my way now.

Nevada: Ok. I'll be waiting😌

I pull into the hotel she's staying at. I get out and walk up to the room. Knock knock knock. "I'm coming Shawn!" she yells from the other side. I stand patiently awaiting for said action. "You ready?" she asks as she opens the door. Woah. She's wearing a white laced crop top, showing off her white bra. Her light blue jeans were pulled up over her love handles. "Shawn?" she questions laughing.

"I'm sorry, what'd you say."

"I asked if you were ready."

"Yah I'm ready; let's go." Why did that just happen? I don't like her like that. I don't like any girl like that! This is weird for me.

"Oh my gosh are you serious?!" I ask laughing. We were eating at Wendy's. We missed the original movie time because of how long it took to get the keys from Tara, so we're gonna watch the movie when it comes on again. So originally we were going to the one 0' clock showing, and now we're going to the 4:30 showing. It's 1:30 right now. We'll probably go do something else before the movie. Nevada had just told me a story about the time when she was 6 or 7 years old she was climbing this tree in her backyard. Well, when she got to the top of the tree she thought the view was so beautiful that she decided she didn't want to live anywhere else but at the top of this tree. So her moms tried to get her to come down (yes she has two gay moms) but she refused. She stayed in the tree all day and finally when she wouldn't come down they had to call the cops. She was removed from her own tree by the police when she was 6 years old. This story made me die laughing.

"So you ready to be back in L.A for a day?" she asks me. Today was on off day, so I didn't have a performance tonight. However in 2 days I'm performing in L.A. and I'm gonna be staying at Cameron and I's apartment. I haven't been there in so long; I miss it. I would hang out with all the MAGCON guys but there on tour for MAGCON.

"Yah, I'm excited to be home for at least one day."

"Well I'm glad you're excited."

"It's just gonna be weird there without Cameron."

"Does he know you're gonna be in L.A in 2 days?"

"I don't know. I'll wait to tell him till I'm there."

"Cool."

Tara pulls into the parking lot. Gosh I've missed home. I get to be here for one day. We walk to the entrance of the apartment and head in. The smell of me and Cameron's home smells so good; like a vanilla cupcake. I walk on in, Tara shutting the door behind me. "So how was the movie the other night with Nevada?" she asks. "I think I forgot to ask you."

"Oh yah it was good. We had fun."

"Shawn can I ask you a serious question." she says with a serious tone.

"Sure." I say moving over to the kitchen bar and sitting down. She was standing on the other side across from me.

"You don't have feelings for this Nevada girl do you?"

"Oh my God Tara no! Why would you even ask that?! I'm not even straight!"

"Shawn calm down. I've just noticed you've been spending a lot of time with her lately. It might be possible you have a small crush."

"Tara I'm married. I can't believe you would even think something like this about me."

"So you can honestly tell me that you don't have any feelings for her Shawn?" I stop to think for a minute. It's not like I have feelings for her; I just like spending time with her. She's fun to talk to; she's smart. And ok I guess sometimes I think she's hot but that's not wrong as long as I don't act on it. Everyone, regardless of if they are in a relationship, can think other people are hot.

"No Tara I have absolutely no feelings for Nevada. I only love Cameron. He is the most important thing to me. More important than anyone."

"Even me?" she asks laughing.

"Especially you." I say jokingly. "I'm gonna FaceTime Cameron. I don't think he knows that I'm here in L.A for a day."

"Ok. I've got some things to do before the show tonight. They'll be here to pick you up to bring you to the arena at 5:00pm sharp. So be ready!"

"Yes ma'am." I say saluting sarcastically.

"Bye Shawn."

"Bye Tara." I say as she leaves, closing the door behind her. It's 3:03pm here so it's 10:03am Cameron's time. I click his contact name. After a few rings he answers the FaceTime.

"Shawny!" he says happily.

"Cameron!" I say laughing.

"What are you doing babe?" he asked me. It looked like he was laying in bed.

"Im just sitting down in a place."

"Where at?"

"Guess."

"Let me look around for a second." I click the camera around so he can see the kitchen.

"Hmmmm." He thinks for a moment. "Are you at home?!?"

"Yup." I say laughing.

"Why are you home?" he asks excitedly.

"I'm performing here in L.A. tonight."

"Oh. I must have forgot when you told me about it." he says.

"You didn't forget because I didn't tell you." I say flipping the screen around and smiling goofily at him. He laughs at my face.

"Are you having fun at home?"

"Not really. It's not very fun without you here. Pretty boring actually."

"I'm sorry. I still miss you."

"I miss you too Cam." I say sadly. "I just don't know why we decided to do this to ourselves." I was expecting a reassuring response.

"Well I gotta go Shawn. I'm supposed to be at the studio by 11 and it's 10 past 10. I haven't brushed my teeth yet." But instead I get this. Oh well I guess.

"Well you better hurry or you're gonna be late." I say sounding like his mom. "I love you. Have a good day."

"You too Shawny. Good luck tonight. I can't wait to hear about it tomorrow."I smile at him and end the FaceTime. I sit for a second not knowing what to do; for some reason it felt like our conversations always seemed to be getting shorter. It's not possible that I'm getting used to being away from Cameron is it? Is it possible he's getting used to being away from me? There's no way..........There's no way.......................
