"Everyone, come on! The lake that Leafpool saw is down here!" Hawkkit cried, sprinting down with all of Thunderclan. Thistlestar stared in amazement as the clans did as well. He quickly joined in, ready to find his new home.

"We can stop here. Everyone needs to get with their clan, because we will be sending the ones who led us to our here to travel all the way around the lake to claim our homes and we will go our seperate ways." Thistlestar yowled, taking his place on the tree stump. He watched his clan separate from Riverclan, Coral slipping into a crowd of she-cats.

"I want a couple hunting patrols done. One from Riverclan, Windclan, and Shadowclan. I'll assign my own." He
called the leaders. He turned to face his cats without a second thought.

"Cloudtail, take Coral, Mousefur, and Spiderleg hunting near the bushes and trees." He ordered, giving his fur a good groom. He hadnt had time to groom since his plunge into the river, and he was glad the water took the dirt and dust from the mountains out, though.

"Thistlestar?" He leaped in surprise. spinning around, he saw his kit, Mothpaw. She had a serious look in her eyes, as if she were scared.

"You scared me out of my fur!" He joked, hoping to have lightened her mood, but her gaze didn't change.

"How can I know for sure Starclan's real?" She meowed in a quiet, serious tone. He was shocked that she would even think that.

"Explain your feelings to me, Mothpaw." He wanted to know what she thought, how she felt.

"I just don't know if Starclan truly exists. I mean, i just can't find the evidence." She sighed, staring at her paws.

"Didn't they come to you at your ceremony?" He meowed, watching her as she shifted.

"I don't know if that was a dream or not." He held back an annoyed sigh. She should know the difference by now.

"I know I'm not supposed to ask this, but what did you see when you were given your ceremony?" He whispered, ignoring the surprise in her eyes.

"I saw my paws spasm and felt my breath coming in quick and shallow. There was a rattling in my chest, and no matter how many breaths I took, i couldn't breathe.. My lungs and chest felt tight as if clenched in a badger's grip. Then, finally, everything went black, and i woke up again. I thought it was just a nightmare." She grunted, obviously shook from reliving her vision.

"That was a vision, Mothpaw. Starclan was giving it to you cause they knew you were the right cat for it."

"But what if it was just a dream? I want to know that Starclan is real, before Mudfur...." Her words came to a stop, and he knew what she meant. He would have to tell her what to expect.

"When you go to sleep Mothpaw, Starclan will send you a vision of reeds blowing in the wind, the lake rippling with a cat you love dearly padding off of it. This is how you will know if Starclan is real. If you don't get this dream, then you may think how you want, but to me, and your brother, Starclan is real." He touched noses with his kit one last time before she padded off towards her nest. He padded to Hawkkit, watching him play with graykit.

"Die, Tigerstar! This is for being evil!" He pretended to bite Graykit's neck, and Thistlestar shuddered as he remembered biting into his father's neck and ripping his throat out. The memory flipped back into his mind, and in an instant he was standing on the forest flooring, snow crunching beneath his paws as he saw Sandbreeze lying on the cold ground, lifeless.

He raced to his friend, yowling in distress. Sandbreeze's green eyes had glazed over, a fresh scent of death wavering off of him. He screeched as he was flung away. He closed his eyes as he hit the ground, wincing as he felt his shoulder wrench and the breath drawn from him. Opening his eyes panting, he saw the Barley's farm with the stars shining high above. He thought he saw storm clouds, but his mind quickly changed when he heard the crackled of fire.
