"Leafpool has been missing for a couple of days now.. Are we sure she wants to come back?" He asked Cinderpelt, sighing. It had been a half moon since the gathering, and Leafpool had disappeared during the night.

"She's with Crowfeather, I'm sure of it. I can't say she will, I just hope." She sighed, padding back into her den with her tail drooping. Many cats had been on the look out for her, but tyey couldn't seem to find her.

"I wish she's back before my kitting.." Sorreltail sighed, her belly extraordinarily plump. She was due any day.

"Squirreltail has been in every patrol looking for her. A couple badger sets have been found, cleared and destroyed, but thats it. Brambleclaw has been there as well. Also, two kits had to be brought back into camp; Dovekit and Lionkit. Your kit's got spirit, but maybe a bit too much. Coralflower chewed his tail for it though." Cloudtail meowed. Thistlestar was proud that the young tom was very much ready to take his place as leader.

"Good. Cloudtail, I want Hawkflight to mentor Lionkit. I know kin shouldn't mentor kin, but I've seen how the tom teaches him. I know that Dovekit is blind, but if she wishes to be a warrior, let her be Brightheart's apprentice. The two should pair up nicely, and if it doesn't seem to be working out, she will be a medicine cat." He informed him. He wanted those two to have the best chance in their future.

"Alright." He nodded, padding away. Thistlestar would miss his clan, his mate. As he padded out of camp, he sighed. He found himself padding along the Windclan border. He knew almost nothing about the lake and the land around it.

"Thistlestar!" A hiss came fron a gorse bush only a few tail lengths away. He turned to see Tunnelwhisker, her dappled pelt shining and a scent of milk drifted from her.

"Tunnelwhisker!" He gasped, his eyes wide. Her kits were only a moon old, they surely still needed her very much.

"I had to see you, Thistlestar. I know you have a new family, but I thought you should know." She mewed, greeting her with a dip of her head. Thistlestar longed to run to her side and touch muzzles, but he knew couldn't. She was mates with Gorseclaw now, and he was mates with Coralflower.

"Tell me what?" He meowed, and she beckoned him over the stream. He dipped his paws in the water, the cold sensation making him shiver. Thistlestar was now on Windclan territory, but he couldnt go back until he knew what she had to say. Small mewls came from the bush, and he felt his fur ripple with uneasiness.

His eyes widened and he froze in place as he saw three kits toppling over each other excitedly. A black tom with a single with paw and bright green eyes was wrestling with a light brown tabby she-kit with amber. Then his gaze flicked to the third. His mind whirled as he saw the kit. Hr looked exactly like Thistlestar. He had light grey fur with dark spots, legs, and ears. His eyes were only a shade darker of yellow.

"These are your kits, Thistlestar. They will be raised in Windclan, as windclan cats. I won't hide who their true father is from them. The black tom is Breezekit, the she-kit is Heatherkit, and this one is Antkit. He has taking a strong liking to herbs and healing already. I think that he's going to be a medicine cat."

Thistlestar was still staring off at his kits. He knew he had to find out eventually, but he had believed it wasn't true. These kits had his blood pulsing through their veins, and when they had kits of their own, his blood would spread through Thunderclan and Windclan.

"You need to go. I can smell Gorseclaw. He's coming to get the kits, and I didn't tell him you were going to be on windclan land." She pushed him away with her muzzle. Still dazed, he followed her orders directly and leaped over the border. He noticed the was going down, only a red hue where it once was. A foul stench hit his scent glands and he wrinkled his nose.
