The setting suddenly changes; I am in another luxurious room, though larger than what I've seen already in the Sawyer home. The fire is crackling away and illuminating the dark room while Merila sits on the love seat, quietly sipping away at what appears to be wine. There is a knock on the door and she slowly gets up and goes to the door, when she opens it, Rika walks in without invitation and smiles, devilishly.
"Too bad you were too busy to join us for dinner, you must be starved." She says mockingly while twirling her side braid.
"What do you want? A night without dinner is hardly revenge for the 3 weeks he was gone. He leaves in 2 days again, you know." she takes another sip before setting her drink down on the night stand by the loveseat she was sitting at.
"Yes I know, I just wanted to come and ask you something, what were the terms of our agreement again?"
"What you forgot?" Merila looks at her suspiciously.
"Just tell me, I need to clarify something."
"'I shall use my ties with our allies to keep Eren safe, since he is the illegitimate heir, many people wish to harm him and I am the only thing keeping them at bay while also holding onto their loyalty toward us, but in return for my cooperation, The Head is to not know of our personal quarrels, if we agree then no matter what the damage, as long as non-fatal, can be dealt; it ends when one admits defeat.'"
Rika smiles and nods, "Thank you, that's all I needed to know." After leaving, I follow her, she walks down wide halls all before stopping at another door, Rika knocks and a moment later it opens.
THROB. Before I can see who it is my vision is blurred by a sudden throb to my head, I stumble back, gripping my head and groaning. My eyes shut tight from the pain; I see flashes of white and black behind my eye lids. The screaming from before starts to blare through my ear drums, I fall over and roll over pressing my forehead to the ground. Images flicker through my mind as the screaming continues on endlessly; Merila is attacking, she is swinging something at me with all her might. Her hair is in disarray; her beautiful gown that shined flawlessly is now tattered, covered in dirt, and torn into a ragged short dress. As she is beating me, a quivering, pale hand reaches up and grabs her tangled jewelry, pulling at it in an attempt to fight back in anyway, the necklace snaps and all I can hear is the continuous plea, "MAKE IT STOP MAKE IT STOP MAKE IT STOP!!!" and Merila's manic laughing at the same time. Blood begins to splatter little by little onto her face, but she doesn't stop beating me with whatever her weapon is, she steps back, panting heavily.
"Lift her up." She says in a rasped voice, she spits to the side and moves her hair away from her sweating face.
My view changes from the air above me, to Merila in front of me as I'm being lifted in front of her, all around is black, and all that can be seen is what's being shown to me; I realize that I am not 'me'; the pain I feel is only that of the screaming in my ears. Tears form in my eyes upon realizing that I'm seeing something that Rika went through, "this is what she didn't want me to see, this is why she was so adamant on not giving us permission." I blink my eyes swiftly, trying to make the images go away, I begin to scratch my eyes, desperate to make the vision go away.
As Merila laughs more and more, she walks over to the dangling Rika, the view begins to change and now I'm looking at Rika from the front, her naked body is covered in long cuts, bruises, mud and dirt. Merila walks closer, grabbing her elbow, caressing it gently like she's being careful not to harm it, soft giggles flow from her mouth, her grip getting tighter and tighter until she screams with a smile, pushing her forearm back in the opposite direction while holding tight to her upper arm; Rika's face contorts with a look of pain, her eyes squeezing shut and her mouth opened wide with no sound coming out. When you finally hear the snap of her arm she lets out a blood curdling scream and Merila moves both her hands towards Rika's chest.
