Semantic memory refers to the general world knowledge which includes facts, meanings, ideas and concepts. Jedidiah was able to retain his semantic memories which is the reason why he can remember how to talk and walk. According to his doctor, he lost his episodic memories.

He lost all scenarios he had during his lifetime prior to the day of surgery. And that would include every moment we have shared with each other. He messed up his memories because of the surgery which according to his doctor can be restored again if he keeps doing everything he usually does before.

While I was trying to internalize everything slowly, I just came to the realization that how come Jedidiah is one of the unfortunate people in the world to suffer from such thing?

Sabi ng doktor nya ay bibihira lang daw ang mga ganitong kaso pero sa pitong bilyong tao na meron sa mundo, bakit si Jedidiah? I don't wanna be so negative about it pero hindi ko lang talaga maiwasang maisip na baka nga bawal kami ni Jed para sa isa't isa.

But I wanna be with him. Paano kong gagawin? Even though, I still need to take my chances. May anak kami ni Jed. Hindi ako pwedeng basta tumakbo na lang. It's better to lose than not to try at all.

"Dito tayo nakatira?" Tanong nya habang tinitignan ang kabuoan ng aking bahay.

"Well, not officially. We did not talk about that back then. Pero kadalasan ay dito ka tumutuloy sa bahay ko. Kung minsan naman ay doon tayo sa condo mo." I explained.

"What? May condo ako? That's cool." Aniya sabay upo sa sofa.

"Yup, you actually have that since you were seventeen. We'll visit there kapag may oras. For the meantime ay dito ka muna sa bahay so you and Jeddie will take time together." I happily exclaimed.

"That'll be nice. Where's my daughter?" Tanong nya.

"She's with Leonard. Friday kasi ngayon so daddy time muna." Ani ko nang may pagtantya sa magiging reaksyon nya.

"Daddy time? Isn't that supposed to be me?" Aniya sa medyo iritadong boses.

"When you were unconscious, Leonard was the one who's been Jeddie's daddy figure. Sanay 'yong bata sa kanya." I said, half-guilty. Tinignan nya ako.

"Well...uhh...tama naman. Ano lang kasi..." Ngumiwi sya.

"Ano?"

"P-Paano naman ako? Wala ba akong daddy time?" He sounded jealous.

"Syempre meron. Mamaya naman ay nandito na rin silang dalawa. 'Wag kang mag-alala." I smiled in assurance.

"And also? What's between you and Leonard? Parang mas close pa kayo kaysa sa ating dalawa. Akala ko ba fiancé mo ako?" Aniya at namumulang naglayo ng tingin.

"Bestfriend kami ni Leonard mula pagkabata. Please, understand. He's part of my life." I explained. Bumuntung-hininga sya.

"Oo naman. Naiintindihan ko. Pero maiba tayo, I thought my friends are gonna be here. Where are they?"

I already told him he has friends. Tyrone and Cedric, they needed not to show up right away. It was too much to handle for Jedidiah. Pero ngayon, tingin ko ay okay na rin naman kay Jed. I can see how excited he is.

And besides, the weather is good. The sun is streaming beautifully in my garden. Jedidiah stared at the tree house with amusement written in his face.

"You've got a tree house? It looks cool." He told me.

"Yeah, it should be. You made it for me." I smiled.

"I did? Wow! I am so good. Can we go up?"

Umakyat kami at mas lalo pa syang namangha sa loob nito. He really has no idea how capable he was in doing such things for me. I know he still does not recognize me as what I was to him before. Him being jealous was just because of his idea that we are affianced. His feelings are not involved.
