//Sorry about the chapter titles, (some say chapter and some don't) I can't fix it... Anyways, hope you enjoy this!

Evan's eyes widened, a small blush on his face.

"Shit, sorry. I didn't even ask if you were homophobic... fuck." Connor said with a dry laugh. Evan shook his head vigorously. "N-No! I'm not...I'm not a homophobe. I...I just wasn't expecting it? I don't know, I'm sorry. I...I'm bi, if that makes you feel any better...I mean IguessyoudidntreallyaskImsorry--" Connor punched Evan lightly, causing to squeak and blush a bit more.

"It's fine, don't worry about it. Anywa--wait, you're BI? Holy shit, I didn't really expect that! Damn." Connor laughs while running a hair through his hair. Evan chuckles along, trying his hardest not to sound too nervous or anxious. Connor stops laughing abruptly. Evan stops as well.

"Shi--crap. I forgot your address."

"Oh. Oh! Right, yeah, my address is--" Evan is cut off by his cell phone ringing. Connor looks at the caller I.D, scowls, and pulls over to the side of the road, picking up and getting out of the truck.

"Hi. Yeah, I'm not home. I'm not with a fucking dealer Zoe. I'm not high, you asshole. Oh, really? Well, FUCK YOU TOO BITCH!" Connor hangs up angrily and chucks his phone to the side. Evan, now aware of Connor's emotions, gets out of the truck. He first goes for Connor's phone, because it was probably expensive. It only had one small crack of the top left of the screen, but had a little dent in the side too. He picks it up, then walks towards Connor, who is mumbling quietly. Things like, "I can't go home. I should just fucking launch myself off of the fucking highway. I would deserve it." Evan is terrified that he will actually jump off the highway, so he grabs Connor's arm.

Connor, in a rage, slams into Evan. Evan hits the truck (It wasn't that far away) and curls up like a dying cockroach. Connor realizes what he's done and freezes, watching as Evan winces. The injured boy crawls back over to Connor, grabbing his arm slower now. Connor doesn't dare move, as he is still mortified that he has hurt this boy--a boy who has been so kind--so he lets Evan pull him up. Evan tells him his address and they get back into the truck. After about ten minutes of silence, Evan speaks up.

"You...Y-You said you couldn't go home?" Connor grips the wheel tightly, turning his knuckles almost pure white.

"I guess. I just...my dad is gonna fuckin' yell at me. That's gonna suck." Connor mumbled, keeping his burning eyes on the road.

"You could...I mean, you can stay with me? Maybe? I mean, my mom won't mind--and I don't--I mean we're...Friends? Sorry--Imeanobviouslyifyoudontwantto--"

"You're seriously inviting me over after I slammed you into my fucking truck?" Connor looked over while the light was red, seeing a flustered Evan.

"Yeah--I mean, you weren't trying to. I scared you, and you were mad. I should've let you cool off, sorry--"

"I'd like to stay with you, Evan. Just...Warn your mom, I guess." Evan nods, calling his mom. She picks up on the seventh ring.

"Hey honey, I'm at work. Are you okay? Did you need to talk?" Evan's breathing changed dramatically while talking to his mom, and Connor definitely noticed.

"H-Hey mom. I, uh, My friend is going to stay over for a bit? His dad is kinda angry at h-him, and I think he'd he safer with us and--"

"A friend? Of-Of course! That's wonderful! I cannot wait to meet your friend hon--Shit. I've gotta go. I'll see you and your friend later. Bye." Heidi hung up very suddenly, but Evan let out a breath he didn't even know he was holding. "She...She said yes. Also, we're here." Connor nods and mumbles a thanks, and once he parks in the driveway, they both step out of the truck, and Evan takes a breath.

A friend.

Evan has a friend.
